Indeksi i Integrimit Socio-Ekonomik të Ballkanit (BSEII) është një nismë shumëdimensionale dhe e bazuar në të dhëna, e krijuar për të matur nivelin dhe dinamikën e integrimit socio-ekonomik në Ballkan. Qëllimi i tij është të ofrojë një pasqyrë sistematike, të krahasueshme dhe të mbështetur në evidencë mbi shkallën e integrimit të rajonit në fusha kyçe, si ekonomia, aspektet sociale, ndërlidhja dhe institucionet. BSEII nuk synon të jetë thjesht një renditje e vendeve, por një instrument praktik për të kuptuar integrimin rajonal si proces, duke analizuar lidhjen ndërmjet marrëdhënieve më të forta rajonale, integrimit të tregjeve, lidhshmërisë, harmonizimit institucional, konvergjencës ekonomike dhe potencialit të zhvillimit.
Faza aktuale përgatitore përqendrohet në hartimin dhe vlerësimin e kuadrit konceptual e metodologjik, përzgjedhjen e treguesve, evidentimin e të dhënave të disponueshme dhe boshllëqeve në të dhëna në vendet e Ballkanit, si dhe në përgatitjen e bazës për m***e, raportim dhe përdorim të ardhshëm në politika. Projekti bashkon ekspertë dhe studiues ndërkombëtarë nga rajoni — Yasen Georgiev, Fahir Kanlić, Sandra Jednak, Zef Preci, Milika Mirković, Éva Laczka dhe Martin Noveski — së bashku me ekipin bazë të BSEII: Blagica Novkovska, Nina Mojsova, Sasho Kjosev dhe Vlado Rikalovski. Ky bashkëpunim rajonal dhe multidisiplinar synon të sigurojë që Indeksi të jetë metodologjikisht i qëndrueshëm, i përshtatshëm për realitetin e rajonit dhe i dobishëm për dialogun e politikave publike dhe forcimin e bashkëpunimit rajonal.

The Balkan Socio-Economic Integration Index (BSEII) is a multidimensional, data-driven initiative designed to measure the level and dynamics of socio-economic integration across the Balkans. Its purpose is to provide a systematic, comparable, and evidence-based overview of the degree of regional integration in key areas such as the economy, social development, connectivity, and institutions. BSEII is not intended to be merely a ranking of countries, but rather a practical tool for understanding regional integration as a process. It examines the relationship between stronger regional ties, market integration, connectivity, institutional alignment, economic convergence, and development potential.
The current preparatory phase focuses on designing and assessing the conceptual and methodological framework, selecting indicators, identifying available data and data gaps across Balkan countries, and laying the foundations for future measurement, reporting, and policy application. The project brings together international experts and researchers from the region — Yasen Georgiev, Fahir Kanlić, Sandra Jednak, Zef Preci, Milika Mirković, Éva Laczka, and Martin Noveski — together with the core BSEII team: Blagica Novkovska, Nina Mojsova, Sasho Kjosev, and Vlado Rikalovski. This regional and multidisciplinary collaboration aims to ensure that the Index is methodologically robust, relevant to the realities of the region, and useful for evidence-based policy dialogue and stronger regional cooperation.
