We are pleased to highlight the contribution of our alumnus, Altin Gjeta, who recently took part in a distinguished panel discussion at University College London , marking 18 years of an independent Kosovo.

Alongside Altin, the panel featured esteemed experts including Prof. Aidan Hehir of the University of Westminster, and Rina Limoni, Founder of the Diasporas Speaking Podcast.

The discussion reflected on the defining moments of Kosovo’s path to statehood, assessed its current political and social landscape, and explored its future trajectory as Europe’s youngest nation. The distinguished event was organised by

Representatives of the Albanian Chevening Alumni network had the pleasure of being hosted in a special meeting by the President of the Republic of Albania.

In a friendly and constructive atmosphere, they discussed on:
•Creating institutional bridges of communication between our network and Albanian institutions.
•Promoting young Albanians and the opportunities for their return and active engagement in the country after studying abroad.

Chevening Alumni professionals shared the innovations they have brought to Albanian society and expressed their willingness to cooperate with local institutions.

In the presence of representatives of the British Embassy in Tirana, the President listened attentively to the alumni’s opinions and proposals, shared with them concrete ideas for further support, and highly appreciated their role as young professionals contributing to the development of Albania.

A very insightful event with the professionals from Illyrian Brains and the Albanian Chevening Alumni Network.

The Chevening Alumni shared valuable advice from their academic experiences in the UK and we also learned more about the Illyrian Brains network and their international branches.

The event was attended by alumni and new Chevening scholars who will attend their studies in the UK.

Last but not least there was a huge interest to apply for the Chevening scholarship and our alumni was there to contribute with valuable advice!

Thank you to the Illyrian Brains and the Chevening Alumni Network who made this event possible.
