When you climb stone staircases on hikes such as Trolltunga, Reinebringen or Flรธyen, thereโ€™s a good chance youโ€™re walking on paths crafted by skilled Sherpa stone masons.

Using traditional techniques passed down through generations in the Himalayas, they build durable stone trails entirely by hand. Their work helps prevent erosion, protects fragile mountain ecosystems, and makes Norwayโ€™s breathtaking hiking routes safer and more accessible for everyone.

Itโ€™s a wonderful example of international cooperationโ€”Nepalese craftsmanship helping preserve Norwayโ€™s spectacular nature for future generations.
