Congratulations to Tackling Estate, the proud recipient of the 2026 Most Patriotic Village Award, presented by the Anguilla Enhancement Project during the Official Anguilla Day Celebrations!

This year's winning display showcased outstanding creativity, community spirit, cultural pride, and innovation through a unique Anguillian take on the classic game Monopoly. Visitors are invited to follow an engaging and educational trail throughout the village, discovering local history, culture, landmarks, and patriotic displays along the way.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people of Tackling Estate for this well-deserved achievement and thank all participating villages - Shoal Bay, South Valley, South Hill, West End, Blowing Point, Sandy Hill, and Tackling Estate - for the tremendous effort, dedication, and pride displayed throughout this year's competition. Your contributions helped make Anguilla Day truly special.

What an incredible achievement! We are absolutely thrilled, honored, and deeply humbled to announce that Tackling Estate has officially been named the Overall Winner of the 2026 Most Patriotic Village! 🇦🇮🧡
Our community poured its heart, soul, and endless creativity into this year's Anguilla Enhancement Project, and bringing home these top honors is a testament to what we can achieve when we stand Proud. United. Unstoppable.

From Pallets and Passion to a Lasting Legacy 🪵

​If you look closely at our Entrepreneurial Avenue displays, you'll see they are built out of simple, raw wooden pallet boards. There is a beautiful irony in that;because Anguilla’s greatest industries were also built out of humble beginnings, raw passion, and an absolute refusal to fail.
​This Anguilla Day, we are honoring the concept that success comes to those who take chances. From the demanding salt flats and deep-sea fishing to the trailblazing storefronts of Albert Lake and Mary Rogers, these individuals proved the golden rule of progress: No Risk, No Reward.

​Their perseverance continues to inspire us today. Come walk down memory lane, view the historic photos, and celebrate the courage that shaped our economy! 🇦🇮❤️

​This Anguilla Day, we chose to honor our heritage through sustainable upcycling. We looked at discarded materials and saw our history waiting to be told:
​Old, thrown-away tires became a towering celebratory cake decked out in patriotic orange, white, and blue.
​A heavy-duty tractor tire and scrap metals were engineered into a historic defense helicopter.
​Repurposed wooden pallets and spare car parts came together to form our custom heritage vehicle.

​Have you visited our custom-themed Monopoly stations yet? We've built an educational walkthrough highlighting the specific locations that defined the Anguilla Revolution!

​Take a look at the details on Crocus Hill Court House, The Valley Police Station, The Beacon, and our "Just Visiting" jail setup. From the national flag flying high above the courthouse stone print to the authentic news clippings covering The Beacon, we wanted every single station to give you a deep, informative look into 1967. 📰🚔🏛️

​"Behind every great movement is a foundation of strong women."

​In our community exhibit, we are exceptionally proud to highlight our dedicated Women’s Corner. This space is a tribute to the legendary women who played an indispensable role in Anguilla's fight for justice and independence.

​These brave women provided critical support during times of intense uncertainty, using their resourcefulness to protect our island and sustain the revolution. Though some of their names may not be found in every history book, their patriotism and determination helped pave the way for future generations.

More Than Just a Pretty Display;This is a Heritage Lesson! 🇦🇮

​We are so excited to highlight the 4 main wharfs that have shaped Anguilla's story: Road Bay, Blowing Point, Island Harbour, and Rendezvous Bay.

​Apart from bringing beauty and a rustic aesthetic to the community space, we wanted to make this exhibit highly informative. Built creatively using rustic pallet boards, these "wharfs" stand as educational stations loaded with history, seaman terminology, boat racing schedules, and incredible throwback photos. Even more beautiful at night with our solar lights and light house.

​Education meets resourcefulness! Stop by, read through the displays, and immerse yourself in our island's incredible maritime legacy. 🪵⚓️📖

​Our community is looking extra vibrant lately, thanks to some serious local talent. It takes a special kind of vision to take old tyres and transform them into gorgeous, flag-bearing floral displays.
​It just goes to show that Anguillians are a deeply resourceful people. We don't just recycle; we elevate, turning worn and used pieces into masterpieces of true beauty that celebrate who we are. 🧡💙🤍
