Megaquake in Russia triggers worldwide tsunami threats — Japan, multiple U.S. regions, and Pacific nations like the Philippines placed on high alert.
PHIVOLCS issued a tsunami advisory for coastal areas facing the Pacific, including Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte and Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Northern and Eastern Samar, Leyte and Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte and Sur, and Davao provinces.
