The Anguilla Red Cross extends sincere thanks to volunteer Cyndi Hovland and Claire Wever, BRC Resource Officer for the Overseas Branches, for their support of one of our ongoing community initiatives.

This past Sunday, Cyndi and Claire joined Anguilla Red Cross in assisting the AXA Cares Food Delivery Programme in delivering meals to residents of the Senior Citizens Home. During the visit, they also distributed care packages prepared by a young supporter of the Anguilla Red Cross.

Their participation reflects the true spirit of the Red Cross Movement - people helping people and working together to strengthen communities through compassion and service.

The Anguilla Red Cross is grateful to Cyndi and Claire for their support. We also thank AXA Cares Food Delivery Programme for allowing Anguilla Red Cross to contribute to this meaningful initiative, as well as to our young supporter whose thoughtful donation helped make the visit even more meaningful for the residents.

Together, we continue to make humanity our mission.

A few weeks ago, during a Programme Leads meeting, the Anguilla Red Cross had the pleasure of a surprise visit from Paola, Director of the Italian Red Cross, who was on island visiting her niece.

Although the meeting was brief, it was a valuable opportunity to discuss the common challenges and humanitarian priorities facing Red Cross societies around the world. Moments such as these highlight the importance of global collaboration and the shared commitment to serving vulnerable communities.
