🌿 Join us for Garden Conversations – June Edition! 🌿
The Anguilla Red Cross invites you to an evening of meaningful discussion on the topic “Positive Aspects of Caregiving for Older Adults: The Art of Compassionate Care at End of Life.”
We are honoured to welcome Dr. Cyndi Hovland as our guest speaker for this month’s Garden Conversations.
Dr. Hovland, Professor of Social Work and Master of Social Work Program Director at Cleveland State University, has over 25 years of interprofessional clinical practice and management working with older adults, family caregivers, hospice, end-of-life, palliative, and bereavement care. Additionally, she served as a family caregiver for her mother who died with dementia.
Her recently published work is focused on family caregiving of older adults, interprofessional education in healthcare, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, death and dying, and grief and loss.
Dr. Hovland serves as the principal investigator on federal grants including the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program and has presented much of her scholarly work across key national and international conferences and has published over 25 journal articles and book chapters in some of the top research journals.
