The Antigua Youth Business Trust Entrepreneurship Programme Cohort coined the theme “Brand Me” - wearing your brand today, and in light of this, it carried the day.

From a strong commercial banking discussion and networking to learning about the history of an Antiguan entrepreneur with two dynamic, growing business brands, to simply being outside with the youth entrepreneurs, listening to their brands and motivating them in their own soft and warm historical settings.

The Anguilla Youth Business Foundation is very happy to join with other youth business Caribbean members for the holistic impact of a greater regional business ecosystem.

In last evening’s session at CYE Summit, Coordinator AYBF Waynika Romney had the privilege of presenting on “How to Create Newer and Innovative Business Models.” She helped each participant understand how to use this Business Model Canvas to create value, deliver value, and capture value, as well as how to revise and revamp each through the nine building blocks of business models for innovative business models. Our amazing youth participants then engaged in an activity to create their own. The session closed with many questions and answers, along with practical takeaways for innovative business modeling.

Panel Discussion at CYE Summit in the morning session - Youth Business Caribbean Panelist

Today, our Caribbean Youth Entrepreneurship (CYE) Summit themed “Accelerating the Future of Youth Entrepreneurship” highlighted insights from representatives across the region.

Each representative introduced how each island is accelerating entrepreneurship and navigating challenges through their respective foundations, after which youth entrepreneurs asked thoughtful questions tailored toward social enterprise, business incubation, and regional business collaboration.

Together, representatives from Youth Business Caribbean delivered education, motivation, and empowerment to youth entrepreneurs.

✈️ Antigua, we are here!

The Anguilla Youth Business Foundation is excited to be part of the Youth Business Caribbean Summit on June 16–17 in Antigua. This gathering brings together organizations from across the region that are committed to supporting and empowering entrepreneurs.

Our Coordinator Ms. Waynika Romney will be presenting on Newer Business Models, exploring innovative approaches that are helping entrepreneurs adapt, grow, and create opportunities in today’s evolving business landscape.

We are looking forward to meaningful conversations, new connections, and sharing ideas that will help strengthen entrepreneurship throughout the Caribbean.

Theme: Rebuilding Futures, Rebranding Impact: One mentor, one volunteer, one life at a time.

Today, the Department of Youth and Culture proudly recognizes J. Christopher Richardson as our Mentor of the Day.

J. Christopher Richardson is a distinguished educator, author, hospitality professional, and strategic leader whose career spans more than 30 years. Holding a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Chicago State University and an MBA from the Durham School of Business in the United Kingdom, he has built a reputation for excellence in leadership, lifelong learning, and community development. Throughout his career, he has excelled in hospitality management while also making significant contributions to education as a lecturer, trainer, consultant, and mentor, helping to develop future leaders and professionals.

In addition to serving on several statutory boards in Anguilla, contributing to policy development and organizational governance, Richardson is also the author of three books focused on leadership, personal growth, faith, and excellence. Grounded in his faith and devotion to family, he remains committed to empowering others and making a lasting impact on his community.
