FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda is pleased to present its full slate of executive members after completion of our bi-election, 13th June 2026. This marks the first time since 2023 that the organization boasts a full compliment of Executive Members. There were also elections held for the Youth MP positions and we now have a total of eight.

The NYPAAB is now ready to fully represent the interests of our membership and the wider region. Do stay tuned for more information

Thank you to our collaboration partners St.Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA) for the kind words. We look forward to strengthening ties between our organization as we aim to foster regional integration.

SKNYPA extends warm congratulations to Mr. Ezekiel Francois on his election as President of the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda.

SKNYPA has long valued its relationship with NYPAAB since, a partnership strengthened through regional engagement, parliamentary exchanges, and the signing of the Eastern Caribbean Youth Parliament Network Agreement.

As NYPAAB prepares for the full formation of its Executive Committee, SKNYPA looks forward to engaging President Francois and his team in the months ahead. The Executive and General Assembly of the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda takes this time to congratulate our member Senator the Hon. Jonathan Wehner on his appointment as an Opposition Senator this afternoon at Government House.

Based on his time with us over the years we know he will be taking the same fire and passion with him to ensure voices are heard and the work always gets done. We look forward to seeing the inroads you make in the Senate.

On Behalf of the Executive and General Assembly of the National Youth Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda, we would love to congratulate our member Shaquan O'Neil on being appointed as a Government Senator today. He now holds the distinction of being the youngest Senator in the history of our twin island nation. Shaquan has always shown tremendous talent and a passion to serve the youth, so we know the right choice was made. We are eagerly looking forward to the continued contributions you will make in this new capacity.
