The hard work continues for World Ocean Month by National Youth Ambassador Shacia Albertine. The "Plant the Seed, Grow the Future Initiative" proudly reports on its ongoing commitment to fostering Ocean Literacy, specifically aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water. A recent and highly successful session was held at Greenbay Primary School, with special acknowledgment to Ms. Horton for her invaluable support.

The initiative hosted guest speakers, Ms. Woodley and Ms. Whyte, representing the Blue Economy. Their presentations provided invaluable insights into the critical importance of marine ecosystems. The session underscored the necessity of effectively communicating ocean-related issues and empowering students to make informed, responsible decisions concerning our planet's vital ocean resources.

The interactive activities designed for the fifth and sixth-grade students proved particularly engaging. These practical demonstrations aimed to illuminate the diverse and abundant opportunities available within the burgeoning blue economy sector. By exposing young minds to these possibilities, the "Plant the Seed, Grow the Future Initiative" endeavors to cultivate the next generation of ocean stewards and innovators, ensuring a sustainable future for life below water.
