OSCAT (Organization of Social & Cultural Activities of Talayadaran) is a civil societ, nongovernmental, nonpolitical & nonprofit organization which is established by a team of competent and studious male and female Afghan citizens who were committed from different development fields and formed a closely knitted team, which is self-motivated and has a long history of working together with
multidisciplinary work experience & jointed to compass and flourish Civil Society besides contributing towards the development and reconstruction of Afghanistan. The major fundamental goals of the organization are promoting & developing of a authoritative & vigorous civil society, peace building, capacity building, democracy , defending of human rights, rehabilitation & works much more for cultural and social paths. OSCAT believes that sustainable development is only possible through a systematic approach that aims at improved civil society, increased awareness and individuals seeking local solutions to local problems facilitate effective women involvement in the society, promote good governance and visionary approach at different levels. OSCAT has been operating with a monthly Newspaper called "Talaya" in Baghlan province of Afghanistan since 2004. Talaya was the first non-governmental press in Baghlan province, that next to four years activities it was stopped on basis budget lack on 2004. During this era "2004" Talaya was developed as an organization & it chased to their activities in Cultural and social affairs in Baghlan province. From 2006 this NGO got the I- PACS counterpart membership. The NGO was registered in the Ministry of economy by the new registration number of "1552" dated 10-12-2009
It seems essential to cite the NGO has been short listed between many organizations inside counterpart (I-PACS) for Civil Society Support Center for Baghlan provice. The organization has special logo, articles of Constitution work & affairs strategy for next years. Mission: OSCAT (Organization of Social & Cultural Activities of Talayadaran) is a civil Society, non-governmental, non-profit& non-political organization with the mission of to enable the people to promote Civil Society & Civic Education, Human Rights, Culture, to gain life prosperity , capacity building of Male & Female, stabilization of socio-economic situation of people by promoting & developing vocational skills. Vision: OSCAT (Organization of social & Cultural Activities of Talayadaran) confides to promote a sustainable & tight society that stand on columns of community capacity building, rural development, to respect for civil society, people prosperity and promoting their lives.
