A Movement of Outstanding Young Champions, who Commit two years to teach in under-resourced schools, build the skills, mindsets, and knowledge needed to maximize impact on student achievement and become lifelong leaders working from within various sectors to eliminate educational inequity in Afghanistan.

Today, September 20th marks the ! Our students in Nangarhar took action to make their school a cleaner and healthier place.

With guidance from their Teachers, students learned why cleanliness matters, not only in our schools, but throughout our communities. Through simple actions like cleaning our surroundings, we can build a stronger sense of responsibility and inspire others to do the same.

Because meaningful change often begins with a small step.

For Afghanistan's children, education is hope, opportunity, and a pathway to a better future. Yet in times of conflict and insecurity, schools, students, and educators face serious risks, disrupting learning and threatening the future of entire generations.

On this , we reaffirm every child's right to learn in a safe, secure environment.

Education must never be a target or casualty of conflict. Schools must remain safe spaces where children can learn, grow, and dream.

🌊 It's World Lake Day Today!

Afghanistan may be known for its mountains, but our lakes are just as much a part of who we are.

From the impossibly blue waters of in Bamiyan and home to the country's first national park to Lake on the edge of Kabul, where families go to unwind on a Friday, and near Ghazni, one of the region's important wetlands for migratory birds, our lakes have always been part of daily life, local legend, and the landscape itself.

This , our students and fellows in Parwan are reminding their communities why that matters.

Through classroom discussions and public awareness activities, our fellows are helping young people understand that protecting water isn't an abstract idea but it's tied to the rivers, wetlands, and lakes they grow up around.

Our students put it simply: 💧 Clean Water, Clean Future.

At , we believe education can turn awareness into action and that when young people understand the value of what surrounds them, they become the ones who protect it.

In the aftermath of the devastating floods, sent a team to and provinces to assess the damage and better understand the needs of affected communities.

This video from shares what our team witnessed on the ground. Through conversations with community members, we heard firsthand about homes that were destroyed, livelihoods that were lost, and the challenges families now face as they begin to rebuild.

These assessments are guiding our emergency response so that support reaches those who need it most. is flood-affected families in both Nuristan and Parwan provinces, with plans to provide , , , and other to affected families and communities.
