Islamic Relief Afghanistan has established three Therapeutic Feeding Units (TFUs) in Dare-e-Sof Payeen, Dare-e-Sof Bala, and Roy DoAb districts of Samangan Province.

These units provide life-saving nutrition services for children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) and help improve access to quality inpatient care for vulnerable children in remote communities. This support strengthens local health services and contributes to reducing malnutrition-related illness and deaths among children.

We sincerely thank our donor, Islamic Relief UK, for helping improve the health and well-being of children across Samangan Province.

In Chimtal and Charbolak districts of Balkh Province, Islamic Relief is helping vulnerable families rebuild their lives through cash assistance and business management training, enabling them to start small businesses and earn a sustainable income.

Amir Mohammad used support to open a small grocery shop, creating a reliable source of income for his family.
"Today, my shop provides a regular source of income that helps me cover my family's daily expenses. I can buy food, support my family, and contribute to our household with dignity rather than depending on others. Beyond the financial benefits, this small business has given me back something I had almost lost, my confidence.”

Our sincere thanks to our generous donor for making this life-changing support possible.

A small grant. A life-changing opportunity.

Islamic Relief is empowering 435 vulnerable people across Kabul and Balkh provinces with skills, employment opportunities, internships, and livelihood support, helping them build brighter and more resilient futures.

For Abdul Wahab, a livelihood grant became the first step toward self-reliance.
"After I was selected for the project, Islamic Relief provided me with a cash grant, which allowed me to start my own grocery shop. Today, I have many regular customers. This small business has changed my life. I can now support my family and help my brother meet our household expenses."

By investing in people's potential, we are helping families create sustainable livelihoods and hope for the future.

Our sincere thanks to our donors for their generous help in building a more secure future for vulnerable families.

Islamic Relief has empowered 1,500 local farmers in Bamyan and Kandahar provinces through vital agricultural support.

Farmers received certified potato seeds, urea, DAP fertilizer, and wheat seeds, helping them improve their farming practices and increase productivity. In addition, 500 vulnerable families were supported with goats, strengthening their livelihoods and income sources.

“We cultivated the seeds and achieved a good harvest. We are very thankful for your support. We also received training, and we learned many valuable skills and knowledge from these sessions, which helped us improve our cultivation and achieve better harvests.”.” Says Abdul Nafi, a farmer

Islamic Relief Afghanistan improved the living conditions of vulnerable displaced families in conflict-affected areas by providing emergency shelter assistance, including tents, tarps, solar lamps.

“We lost everything due to conflict and the earthquake in Kunar Province, which made us move to Nangarhar in search of safety. When we arrived, we had no shelter or belongings. One month ago, we received a tent, tarp, and two solar lamps, which provided my family with a safe place to stay,” said Abdul Samad.

Islamic Relief Afghanistan sincerely thanks its donor, IR Canada, for its generous support in helping vulnerable displaced families rebuild their lives with dignity and safety.

Our teams have begun inspecting bulls for Eid al-Adha!

This year, we’re excited to reach 3,150 needy families in Bamyan, Herat and Kandahar with Qurbani packs, each containing 5 kg of fresh meat.
For many of these families, this is the only time they get to enjoy meat throughout the year. Your generous donations truly make their Eid celebrations special.

Again, we brought smiles to the faces of 320 orphans in Kabul, Afghanistan!

Through Eid Al-Adha gift voucher cash assistance, families were able to buy clothes, shoes, hygiene materials, and other essential items for their children.

“Today I could buy whatever I wanted. I bought pink sandals, a pink blouse, and jeans, something I had always dreamed of. I couldn’t wait to wear them,” says Marwa.

These small moments of joy remind us of the impact that compassion and support can bring to children and families in need.
