Again, we brought smiles to the faces of 320 orphans in Kabul, Afghanistan!

Through Eid Al-Adha gift voucher cash assistance, families were able to buy clothes, shoes, hygiene materials, and other essential items for their children.

“Today I could buy whatever I wanted. I bought pink sandals, a pink blouse, and jeans, something I had always dreamed of. I couldn’t wait to wear them,” says Marwa.

These small moments of joy remind us of the impact that compassion and support can bring to children and families in need.

Islamic Relief, with support from humanitarian partners, provided cash assistance to 395 vulnerable families affected by the devastating 2024 floods in Shahrak district and Firozkoh city, Ghor province, helping them repair damaged homes and rebuild their lives.
Assistance was provided based on the level of housing damage, including Transitional Shelter (T-Shelter), Major, and Minor repairs, ensuring a needs-based response.

65-year-old Mohammadullah* from Pushta Ghumrak village, shared his experience:
“We are now safe from the cold, wind, and dust. Before, strong winds would even blow our tents over us, but now we no longer face these problems. The house has truly saved our children and us from homelessness and many hardships, and we are now living with comfort and happiness.”

Islamic Relief expresses sincere gratitude to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF) for making this timely, life-saving response possible.

In the mountains of central Afghanistan, decades of poverty and weak infrastructure have left many families, especially women and children, without essential healthcare.

To change this, Islamic Relief Afghanistan has opened two sub-health clinics in the Saighan and Waras districts of Bamyan.

Every day, our dedicated health workers serve more than 100 patients through outpatient visits. Mothers receive antenatal care (ANC) and guidance from skilled midwives, while children benefit from nutrition and growth monitoring. Through collaboration with local health stakeholders, we’re ensuring that families receive the care they deserve, from referrals for severe acute malnutrition (SAM) to home-based feeding support for moderate cases (MAM).

💚 Together, we’re building a healthier future for Bamyan.

Maliha*’s Journey of Hope through Islamic Relief’s Support

Despite losing her father at a very young age, Maliha has shown incredible strength and resilience.

For the past two years, she has been part of Islamic Relief Afghanistan’s Orphan Sponsorship Programme (OSP), a support that has enabled her to continue her education and pursue her dreams.
Now in third grade, Maliha also attends drawing classes, where her talent and creativity shine through. Each line she draws brings her one step closer to her dream, determined to serve her community and her country.

Today, 5,021 orphans are enrolled in the OSP, receiving education, care, and the chance to build a brighter future.

💙 Together, we can continue empowering children like Maliha to dream, learn, and achieve.
