Afghanistan Young Greens

Afghanistan Young Greens AYG ensures that youths enjoy their full rights and remain as active members of the society.

Afghanistan Young Greens (AYG) is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable Afghan NGO, working for ecological sustainability, youths’ capacity building, human rights, grassroots democracy, peace and social justice in Afghanistan. The main goal of the organization is to build the capacity of the young generation and promote the culture of green thinking and advocate for appropriate use

of natural resources in Afghanistan. Advocacy for clean and green environment in Afghanistan will be on top of its program agendas through youths’ capacity building, ecological sustainability awareness programs and campaigns. AYG has started its activities in Kabul and other provinces such as Bamyan, Daikundi, Parwan, Mazar, Wardak and Ghazni provinces. The root of AYG came from a formerly initiated youths’ association under the name of Panjab Cooperation Society (PCS) established in October 2007. After revising the goal and objectives of PCS based on the needs of the society, the association was given a new name Afghan Young Greens and was registered under number 2912 at the Ministry of Economy as an independent local NGO. AYG’s main office is in Kabul and the sub offices are in Bamyan and Daikondi.
