Procurement has been continuously evolving, It’s smarter, more ambitious, more global and more mobile than ever before. But procurement and supply chain professionals are a widespread and disconnected community, especially in Afghanistan – we haven’t had an

ywhere to collaborate, Until now. So we’ve build Afghan procurement professionals network for a new generation of procurement professionals, where we have come together from vast array of backgrounds including; Public sector, Private sector, Academia, and International institutions. By joining the network, you can access the latest news and advice; build your personal brand and advance your career; develop your skills through online training; contribute to relevant discussions and expand your network to truly global proportions. You can do all these in English and/or Afghan national languages Pashto, and Dari. APPN has been developed by a group of experienced procurement professionals. We know that the procurement and supply chain profession has struggled to overcome outdated stereotypes and its time we join forces to become more collectively valued. By empowering our future procurement and supply chain leaders, we aim to change the face of the profession.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲🤝
The upcoming East Asia and the Pacific International Public Procurement Conference, happening on 28 to 30 April 2025, with the theme “Procurement for the People: Bridging Innovation, Value for Money, and Accountability,” will bring together procurement leaders from 20 countries to advance the modernization of procurement systems, optimize public spending, and strengthen transparency and accountability in government processes.
Co-hosted by The World Bank and supported by the Asian Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank, this event is a significant step toward aligning procurement practices with the needs of the people. At the heart of this initiative is the goal of ensuring that every peso spent through public procurement translates into better services, more inclusive development, and a higher quality of life for every citizen. Truly, this is a procurement for the people—driven by innovation, guided by accountability, and anchored on value for money
