Accessibility Organization for Afghan Disabled AOAD

Today, representatives from UNHCR, Mr. Martine and his colleague Mr. Tasal, visited the AOAD main office located in Kabul.
Firstly, respected Mr. Haji Noorul Haq Saqib on behalf of AOAD management welcomed the delegation and provided a brief overview of AOAD’s key activities, areas of work, and ongoing program implementation.

Mr. Martine and Mr. Tasal then presented the UNHCR Small Grants Project, outlining its objectives, implementation approach, expected outcomes, and its role in supporting local initiatives.

Both parties discussed areas for mutual cooperation and potential partnership. UNHCR also requested AOAD to re-submit the concept note that has been in its pipeline for the past six months.

The meeting concluded with mutual appreciation and a constructive discussion on future collaboration and coordination.

دواړو خواوو د ګډې همکارۍ او احتمالي شراکت پر فرصتونو بحث وکړ. همدارنګه، UNHCR له AOAD څخه وغوښتل چې هغه پروژوي پروپوزل بیاځلي شریک کړي کوم چې له تېرو شپږو میاشتو راهیسې د دوی په بهیر کې شامل وو.

غونډه د متقابل درناوي او د راتلونکې همکارۍ په اړه د مثبتو خبرو سره پای ته ورسېده.

افغان معلولینو لپاره دلاسرسي موسسې د افغاني ټولني د پیاوړتیا پروژې ګډه تفاهم نامه د شهیدانو او معلولینو چارو وزارت له مشر تابه سره امضا کړه، چي ددې پروژې په پلي کولو سره به په زابل ولایت کي ددرو کلونو لپاره د معلولیت لرونکو وګړو د حقوقو او ګډون اړوند د عامه پوهاوي ترڅنګ د لس ګونو معلولیت لرونکو وګړو د اقتصادي پیاوړتیا په برخه کي د پیوستون کمېټې په مالي لګښت د پام وړ فعالیتونه ترسره شي.

Meeting Between Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) Officials and AOAD Representatives
Today, 28 January 2026, officials of the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) organization, including Mr. Russel, Head of NPA in Afghanistan, and Mr. Darvin, Representative of NPA’s Central Office, accompanied by Mr. Qasim and Mr. Rawan, paid a visit to the Central Office of the Accessibility Organization for Afghan Disabled (AOAD) to assess opportunities for future joint cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Kamal Ahmad Zabuli, Deputy and Acting Director of AOAD, warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and provided detailed information about the organization’s background, major achievements, challenges, and future plans. He also expressed his appreciation to Norwegian People’s Aid for its continued humanitarian assistance and grant-based programs that support vulnerable Afghans across the country.
Subsequently, the NPA officials shared information regarding their organizational plans and potential areas for future collaboration. They thanked AOAD’s leadership and staff for their efforts in providing services related to the physical rehabilitation and well-being of persons with disabilities in Afghanistan. The NPA representatives further assured that the organization is committed to strengthening mine action–related services in Afghanistan through cooperation with local partner organizations.

Today, 1 December 2025, a delegation from the Solidarity Committee for Afghanistan visited the headquarters of the Accessibility Organization for Afghan Disabled (AOAD) to explore potential future partnership opportunities and to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two organizations. The Deputy Country Director of AOAD, Mr. Kamal Ahmad Zabuly, warmly welcomed the delegation and provided a comprehensive overview of AOAD’s background, mandate, key achievements, and its preliminary operational planning for 2026. The discussion focused on identifying areas of mutual interest and possible collaboration in support of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Afghanistan. The visit concluded with a shared commitment to continue dialogue and enhance cooperation in the future.

During the last week (Nov 16 till Nov 21- 2024) AOAD- Paktika Physical Rehabilitation Center provided service to a Total of (95) Disabled Persons and War victims including 36) Physiotherapy for both males and females, delivered (2) new Prostheses and (3) new orthoses and also repair (2) prostatic and (4) orthotic device to the beneficiaries, provided (23) psychosocial counseling session for the Persons with disabilities and their immediate family members, distributed (5) different types of assistive devices and conducted disability rights awareness for (20) Persons.
The beneficiaries were very happy to receive this kind of service in their home province and added that they feel more comfortable with the services. As a result, their rehabilitation and independence in their daily tasks have improved. The achievements in all departments in this period are ahead of the original plan because the demand was too great for the Physical rehabilitation services at the start of the project, which still exists.
among the beneficiaries, Sali Mohmmad is a resident of Paktika Gyan district, he has a Femur Fracture in his left leg, he praised the quality services of AOAD and is very happy about the important project in their city and province, which is funded by (PMWRA) in Paktika Province.
