On International Youth Day 2026, GWO celebrated with the children and youth of the Little Hands, Big Impact: Youth Climate Champions project in Kabul Province.

✅ 100 children and youth received stationery packages to support their education and learning.

The day was also an opportunity for our to remind participants that today’s children are tomorrow’s youth, environmental champions, and community leaders. By giving children knowledge, opportunities, and encouragement, we can help them grow into confident young people who contribute positively to their communities.

🌱 Empower a child today. Inspire a leader for tomorrow.

GWO's 1st Community Clean-Up Event – with Participation of Children and Youth - 30th July 2026

On this event, dear children and youth came together with love for nature and cleaned up their community. 🌱

With small hands but big determination, they collected waste to show that environmental protection is not just a slogan, it's a practical action. 💪

Every piece of trash collected means a cleaner Earth for tomorrow.

🌍 We can do it – together, for a cleaner world.

📦 3rd Session on Plastic Recycling and Reuse – 6th August 2026

In this session, children and youth turned plastic bottles into beautiful and useful creations:

✏️ Colorful penholders
🌸 Decorative flower vases

But more important than the final products was the process:
🤝 Teamwork: children and youth collaborated in small groups.
🎨 Creativity: each group came up with unique ideas.
♻️ Awareness: they learned that every recycled bottle is a step toward saving the planet.

We believe hands-on education is the most impactful kind of learning.

🔄 Don't throw plastic away – reuse it!

💧 GWO held its 3rd session on "Water Waste: Hidden Water in Food and Items"!

Children and youth discovered that behind a simple t-shirt or a slice of bread, there's a lot of hidden water, that’s called "Virtual Water" .

Now they know: small choices can save huge amounts of water.

🌍 3rd Climate Change Session - 4th August 2026

Children learned why weather, water, and seasons are changing.
They explored what drought and floods mean, and discovered that even one child can make a difference.

💧 Every drop of water, every tree, every light turned off, it all counts.

♻️ From Plastic Waste to Creative Possibilities! 🌱

Through our Plastic Recycling & Reuse Sessions, children are learning that waste can have a second life. With creativity and teamwork, they transformed used plastic bottles into beautiful and practical pen holders for their own use.
This hands-on activity helps children develop practical recycling skills, reduce plastic waste, and become young champions for a cleaner environment.
With the support of the European Union and Global Youth Mobilization (GYM), through the Youth Empowerment Fund, Green Way Organization (GWO) is empowering children to turn small actions into big impacts. 🌍💚
