Application Deadline: June 30th, 2026
What: is accepting applications for the So Love Can Win Fund, grant awards range between $10,000 to $30,000.
Who: Oakland, CA organizers, storytellers, culture bearers, and healers who seek to ignite and implement a radical collective vision of freedom and racial justice, selected applicants must have 501(c)(3) status or are fiscally sponsored.
Why: Akonadi Foundation has a 25-year history of providing grant funds to racial justice organizations in times of political unrest, economic fragility, and community crisis. The Foundation’s So Love Can Win Fund originally launched in 2016 in response to critical national and local events that challenged a sense of safety for communities of color, with the intention to spark imagination and seed a vision of a safe, healed, and racially just Oakland.

What if healing didn’t have to happen alone?
What: On July 25, Embers of Soulstice is turning a private oasis in Escondido, San Diego into a full-day sober healing retreat where ancestral wisdom, somatic healing, and community converge as medicine.
Who: If you’re a caregiver, service worker, community leader, artist, or survivor navigating burnout, this was made with you in mind. You can expect sound frequencies, somatic movement, embodiment practices, reflection spaces, local wellness vendors, art, food, and community, all in one intentional container.
Why: If you have been feeling drained in your work or exhausted from the weight of collective trauma, come restore yourself in a space curated to meet you where you are.

Partial Scholarship Deadline: June 10th, 2026
What: is calling youth farmers, youth garden interns, youth leaders, earth stewards, and environmental justice advocates to the annual Rooted in Community Youth Summit!
When: July 15th - 19th, 2026 annual conference will take place on Chapel Hill, North Carolina. There will be youth-led workshops, local field trips / site visits, artivism, and day of action. Age group: 14 - 21 years old.
Scholarship General Eligibility includes:
- Partial travel reimbursement funds are available for group(s) that participate in the full conference. NOTE: Reimbursement traditionally means group absorbs the cost(s) first and then receive a partial reimbursement for travel related fees post conference. Please contact organizer for more clarification.
- Organizations/CBO with at least (1) Adult Ally and (2 or up to 5) youth may apply. Emphasis: this is a youth and young adult focused conference
- Registration fees cover room, board, and meals for non-local conference attendees
