Hamda Al Muhrizi, Deputy Director of Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation, highlights some of the challenges facing children around the world, from child marriage and child labour to trafficking, violence and exploitation, and the importance of raising awareness of their long-term impact on children, families and communities.

فيرفض إنشاء صورٍ لزواج الأطفال، أو الاتجار بهم، أو إشراكهم في الحروب، لأنه يدرك أن هذه الممارسات تُلحق الأذى بالأطفال.

بالشراكة مع مؤسسة خالد بن سلطان القاسمي الإنسانية، نفّذت جمعية بيتي سلسلة من ورشات دعم المهارات التربوية للوالدين ضمن مشروع "زراعة المستقبل: الوقاية، الحماية، إعادة التأهيل والرعاية للأطفال في وضعية الشارع والأسر" في المغرب.

وهدفت الورشات إلى تعزيز مهارات التواصل والحوار داخل الأسرة، وترسيخ مبادئ التربية الإيجابية، والتعريف بوضعية الأطفال في وضعية الشارع والمخاطر التي قد يتعرضون لها، بما في ذلك أشكال الاستغلال المختلفة، بما يسهم في توفير بيئة أسرية آمنة وداعمة للأطفال.

وتناولت الورشات عددًا من المحاور، من أبرزها احتياجات الطفل الأساسية، ودور الأسرة في الحماية، والتواصل الإيجابي، وإدارة الخلافات الأسرية، والوقاية من الممارسات التربوية القائمة على العنف أو الإهمال. كما شهدت تفاعلًا كبيرًا من الأسر المشاركة، تأكيدًا على أهمية تمكين الوالدين في حماية الأطفال ودعم استقرارهم النفسي والاجتماعي.

In partnership with Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation, Bayti Association conducted a series of parenting skills workshops as part of the “Cultivating the Future: Preventing Harm, Protecting, Rehabilitating and Caring for Children in Street Situations and Their Families” project in Morocco.

The workshops focused on strengthening communication and dialogue within families, promoting positive parenting practices, and raising awareness of the realities faced by children in street situations and the risks they may be exposed to, including different forms of exploitation, helping create safer and more supportive family environments for children.

Sessions covered key topics including children’s essential needs, the family’s role in protection, positive communication, managing family conflicts, and preventing parenting practices based on violence or neglect. The strong engagement from participating families highlighted the importance of empowering parents to protect children and support their psychological and social well-being.
