تُعدّ جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية مصدراً رئيسياً للمعادن التي تُشغّل عالمنا الرقمي، إلا أن وراء هذه الصناعة واقعاً قاسياً يعيشه آلاف الأطفال. ومن خلال شراكتنا الاستراتيجية مع اليونيسف، نعمل في قلب مناطق التعدين على سحب الأطفال من المناجم وإعادتهم إلى مقاعدهم الدراسية.
نحن نبني أنظمة دعم للأسر لضمان مستقبل آمن ومستدام للجميع.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the primary source of the minerals that power our digital world, but behind this industry lies a harsh reality for thousands of children. Through our strategic partnership with UNICEF, we are working in the mining regions to remove children from harm and return them to the classrooms.

We are also building support systems for families to ensure a safe and sustainable future for all.

في اليوم العالمي لمكافحة عمالة الأطفال، الخطوة الأولى لحماية الأطفال هي التوقف عن تجميل المسميات. الحدود الفاصلة واضحة؛ فالأنشطة التي تتجاوز طاقة الصغار، أو تستهلك فترة نموهم، أو تضعهم في بيئات غير آمنة، لا تندرج تحت بند المساعدة أو التدريب.⠀
تلتزم مؤسسة خالد بن سلطان القاسمي الإنسانية بنشر الوعي القائم على المعايير الدولية والعملية، لأن رفع مستويات الوعي بهذه الفروق الجوهرية هو الخطوة الأولى لبناء مجتمع يحمي أطفاله ويصون سلامتهم.⠀

On World Day Against Child Labour, the first step toward protection is to stop sugarcoating the terms. The boundaries are clear. Activities that exhaust a child physically, consume the years meant for their development, or place them in adult environments are not "helping out" or "training." They are child labour.⠀

في الوقت الذي تُشكل فيه معادن مثل الكوبالت والنحاس عصب صناعات الطاقة والتقنية حول العالم، يدفع آلاف الأطفال في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية ضريبة هذا التطور من براءتهم وسلامتهم تحت دائرة عمالة الأطفال والاستغلال في المناجم. لذلك، تأتي حماية هؤلاء الصغار في مجتمعات التعدين كالتزامٍ إنساني قاطع لا يقبل المساومة.
تعلن مؤسسة خالد بن سلطان القاسمي الإنسانية عن شراكتها الاستراتيجية مع اليونيسف للمضي قدمًا في تحقيق هذه المهمة ؛ حيث تُسلط لوجان مراد، مدير المؤسسة، الضوء على ملامح هذا التعاون المستدام الذي يهدف إلى إعادة الأطفال لمقاعدهم الدراسية ، وتمكين مجتمعاتهم المحلية لحماية حقوقهم وصون كرامتهم

Minerals such as cobalt and copper power the world’s technology and energy industries, yet children in the DRC often pay the price with their childhoods, forced into hazardous mining labour. Protecting children in these mining communities is therefore a non-negotiable commitment.
The Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation announces its strategic partnership with UNICEF to advance this mission. Lujan Mourad, Director of the Foundation, highlights how this sustainable collaboration will help return children to school and strengthen communities that protect their rights and dignity.

في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، أطلقت مؤسسة خالد بن سلطان القاسمي الإنسانية شراكة استراتيجية مع اليونيسف لمكافحة عمالة الأطفال في المناجم غير الرسمية. تركز هذه المبادرة على سحب أكثر من 200 طفل من العمل في المناجم، وتقديم دعم سبل العيش لـ100 أسرة، إلى جانب تدريب 100 من مقدمي الخدمات على معايير حماية الطفل.

إلى جانب التدخل الفوري، نعمل على بناء نموذج مستدام وقابل للتكرار لمعالجة الأسباب الجذرية لعمالة الأطفال. هدفنا هو إنشاء أنظمة دائمة تحمي الأطفال وتضمن وصولهم إلى كامل إمكاناتهم.

The Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation has launched a strategic partnership with UNICEF in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, addressing child labour in informal mines. This initiative focuses on withdrawing 200+ children from mining, providing 100 households with livelihood support, and training 100 service providers in child protection standards.

Beyond immediate intervention, we are working to build a sustainable and replicable model to address the root causes of child labour. Our goal is to establish permanent systems that protect children and ensure they reach their full potential.

مع تزايد الضغوط التي تفرضها الأزمات على المؤسسات والمجتمعات، تلعب الحوكمة دوراً محورياً في حماية الفئات الأكثر ضعفاً.

تنضم الأستاذة كوميل زبيري، رئيسة قسم البرامج في مؤسسة خالد بن سلطان القاسمي الإنسانية، إلى جلسة نقاشية تنظمها مبادرة بيرل بالتعاون مع منظمة أنقذوا الأطفال .

وتجمع الجلسة نخبة من الخبراء والممارسين الميدانيين لاستكشاف كيفية تحقيق التوازن بين سرعة الاستجابة ومتطلبات المساءلة خلال الأزمات. كما تسلط الضوء على الدور الحيوي لأنظمة الحماية والمسؤوليات الأساسية للجهات الخيرية والإنسانية في البيئات عالية المخاطر، بدءاً من النزاعات ووصولاً إلى الكوارث المرتبطة بالمناخ.
