The University of Sharjah, in partnership with The Big Heart Foundation and NAMA Women Advancement, has launched the Chair in Palestinian Studies, an interdisciplinary academic initiative dedicated to preserving Palestinian heritage, documenting identity, and advancing research across culture, economy, and history.
This chair marks the foundation for the upcoming Jawaher Al Qasimi Centre for Palestinian Studies, a pioneering research hub in the UAE that will foster collaboration with scholars in Palestine and around the world.

مبادرة تحفظ الذاكرة، وتصون الهوية، وتمنح الطلبة الفلسطينيين وخاصة النازحين من غزة فرصًا حقيقية لمواصلة تعليمهم وبناء مستقبلهم. لأن الاستثمار في الإنسان هو الاستثمار الذي يدوم، ولتبقى فلسطين في الذاكرة، وفي المعرفة، وفي القلب.
For decades, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council, has turned empathy into action and hope into lasting impact. The exhibition brings together works from the Sharjah Art Foundation collection by seven artists who have devoted their practice to staying close to the lived realities of Palestine.

Al Qasimi emphasizes that the most important message today is to remember our identity. Our history is ours to protect, and our stories must be written in our own language and voice.
