As a mother, I have a deep understanding of the struggles associated with maternal mental health. It took me three years to recover from anxiety and postpartum challenges, learning about Fathers’ mental health after having children, that can differ significantly from mothers' experiences. They often face societal pressures to be strong and may struggle with feelings of inadequacy, loss of identity, and the need for support that isn't always recognized. Mothers might not fully understand these unique challenges, as their focus is often on their own postpartum changes. Encouraging open conversations and providing education about paternal mental health can foster empathy and understanding between parents. Now that my children are in school, I see other parents with children who have special needs and disabilities, which has sparked my curiosity. I wish to help others understand that these lifelong conditions require empathy and understanding. Currently, I am taking courses in:
SEND Learning Support
