A falconry display is an opportunity to see birds of prey, up-close, and understand how falconers work with birds, how behaviour shapes training and why responsible handling matters.

WildFlight’s educational experiences bring that knowledge to life through real interaction and experienced guidance.

Observation, patience and trust shape every interaction between falconer and bird.

The work may look effortless from a distance, but it rests on experience, consistency and a deep understanding of behaviour.

Our team at WildFlight is made up of the very best falconers who know how to love, care and give the birds what they need to thrive.

Appreciation post 😎

River (far left) - a passionate student who took part in our Introduction to Falconry course in 2022. She has always been determined to become a top falconer and has not lost sight of her goal. She spends weekends with our birds, giving them extra attention and assisting the team where ever she can. Today she has the skill in handling a wide variety of birds of prey and has experienced all the highs and lows of being a falconer, even with her own Saker falcon, Koru. She has also assisted with our extra curricular program at The Arbor School Dubai (which she joined specifically because they offered this ECA), and multiple release programs carried out at JA The Resort.

Thank you River for being part of our passionate team, you are a star!

Why does a bird of prey change the behaviour of nuisance birds?

Its presence creates pressure. Birds recognise a natural predator, become more alert and begin avoiding the area. With consistent, professionally managed activity, the site becomes less attractive to them over time.

It is a behaviour-led approach—using nature’s own signals rather than treating every bird problem the same way.

Bird problems are rarely solved by a one-size-fits-all approach.

Falconry-based bird abatement uses the presence of trained birds of prey to create natural pressure, encouraging nuisance birds to avoid the area. Each programme should be shaped around the site, the species involved and the operating environment.

Confidence is knowing you can let go.

When the relationship between falconer and bird is built on patience, trust and understanding, there is no hesitation. The glove opens, the Harris Hawk takes flight, and the falconer knows the connection is strong enough to bring it back.

That is the true partnership behind falconry.

Meet Skye, one of our hardworking Harris Hawks.

While guests often see the beauty of these incredible birds, Skye spends most of her days doing something very important—providing natural bird control. Specialising in crows, she patrols our clients' properties, using her presence to keep nuisance birds at bay.

You may notice she isn't wearing a hood. That's because Skye is calm, confident, and so comfortable travelling that she rarely needs one. It's just one of the many ways our experienced falconers tailor their care to each individual bird.

Every bird has a role. Every bird has a personality. And every bird is cared for as an individual.
