Yesterday Dubai introduced a new word:
Dubai-it.

To turn big ideas into reality.
To achieve something extraordinary with excellence in record time.
To move from ambition to action.

And it made us smile.

Because when we read it, we realised something …

Maybe Inclusive Impactivity has always been about Dubai-ing inclusion.
- 625+ inclusive races.
- 16,000km travelled together.
- Over 100,000 students reached.
- More than 200 schools.
- Hundreds of community activities.
- Four Guinness World Records.

Not because we had a perfect plan.

Not because we had huge resources.

But because when we saw barriers, we chose action.

When someone said it couldn’t be done, we tried anyway.

When inclusion felt complicated, we made it practical.

When people were left out, we found ways to bring them in.

That’s what Dubai has taught us over the past 28 years.
- Dream big.
- Move fast.
- Focus on solutions.
- And never accept that something cannot be done.

Maybe “Dubai-it” isn’t just a business phrase.

Maybe it’s a mindset.
And if we’re honest…

The UAE has been teaching us that mindset for a very long time.
- Inclusive Impactivity.
- Be An Includer.
- Leave Nobody Out.

DUBAI MALLATHON 2026 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️♿💙

This morning summed up so much of what Team AngelWolf is all about.

Dubai Mallathon is back for 2026 - bigger and better than ever.

Six malls.
Every day from 6 –10am.
A chance for the community to walk, run, roll, move, connect, and belong.

For Day 1, we chose Dubai Mall.

As we drove into the car park, Rio instantly knew where he was.

There is only one reason we arrive at a mall this early with his running chair.

With the biggest smile, he shouted:

“Yay! So exciting!”

It honestly felt like coming home.

A community reunion.

So many familiar faces.
So many new friends to meet.
So many people calling out:

“Hi Rio!”

As we started our laps, something happened that perfectly captures why we call Dubai, UAE home.

We heard a group of fast runners approaching behind us.

Then we heard them shouting:

“RIO! RIO! RIO!”

Some were friends.
Some we’d never met before.

The next thing I knew, they had swept Rio away and disappeared into the distance, running together.

As a mother, that should probably have terrified me.

But it didn’t.

Because I knew Rio was safe.

I knew he was loved.

I knew he was exactly where he wanted to be.

Laughing.
Going fast.
Making new friends.

He wasn’t being looked after by strangers.

He was being embraced by community.

That moment reminded me what true inclusion looks like.

Not programmes.
Not policies.
Not words.

People naturally making space for one another and ensuring nobody is left out.

Thank you to everyone who ran with Rio today, pushed his chair, stopped to say hello, and helped make his morning so special.

Thank you for joining the family today.

And thank you to Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum | Fazza for creating an initiative that brings community together through movement, wellbeing, and belonging.

Schools and universities across the UAE are waiting for free Team AngelWolf Impact Talks and inclusive activities.

The demand is there.

The young people are ready.

The conversations are needed.

Through these sessions, Nick and Tia (Little X Wolf) share Team AngelWolf’s lived-experience story of inclusion, accessibility, belonging and community connection - and we are now also creating paid guest speaking opportunities for People of Determination to share their own stories on stage alongside us.

These talks are offered free to schools and universities.

To make that possible, we are actively looking for corporate sponsors and community partners.

Each sponsored talk helps us reach hundreds of students, support paid roles for People of Determination, and continue building a more inclusive community across Dubai and the UAE.

BELONGING. COMMUNITY. INCLUSION. HOME. 🇦🇪

As a family that has called the UAE home for more than 28 years, we were honoured to participate in the UAE’s Pledge & Commitment initiative.

Through Team AngelWolf, we often speak about belonging in relation to inclusion.

The feeling that you are welcomed.
Valued.
Protected.
Included.

In recent weeks, we have reflected deeply on what those words truly mean.

Because inclusion goes further than disability inclusion.

It is a foundational need of every community.

For our family, the UAE has never simply been a place where we live.

It has been the place where Rio grew up and has been embraced.
Where Team AngelWolf was born.
Where friendships became family.
And where we have witnessed the power of community time and time again.

We are proud to call this nation home and grateful for the leadership, community spirit, and shared values that continue to unite people from all backgrounds.

Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum issued Law No. 12 of 2026 relating to the Dubai Community Development Authority

As a family, one part of the announcement resonated deeply with us - the continued focus on community participation, social cohesion, empowerment, and the inclusion of People of Determination within every aspect of society.

For more than 12 years, Team AngelWolf has tried to contribute to this vision in the best way we know how.

* Through sport.
* Through storytelling.
* Through schools.
* Through workplaces.
* Through community activities.
* Through creativity.
* Through workshops.
* Through simply creating opportunities for people to spend time together.

All to embrace differences and discover connection.

Rio has crossed more than 625 race finish lines, travelled thousands of kilometres, and become a Guinness World Record holder - all for the message of inclusion.

But the real impact has never been the medals or the records.

It is the conversations that happen afterwards.

The child who sees possibility instead of limitation.

The adult who moves from sympathy to understanding.

The community member who realises inclusion is not about helping someone from the outside - it is about making sure everyone has a rightful place within the community.

It is about belonging.

We are encouraged to see these values reflected within Dubai’s continued commitment to community development, participation, belonging, and opportunity for all.

Our work continues - through Inclusive Impactivity.

MAMA WOLF CONFESSIONS … birthdays in the UAE Year of Family

There is nothing more important to me than family and community.

When family and community unity are strong, inclusion becomes natural … because belonging is welcomed, embraced, and lived.

Yesterday was my birthday. In my 52 years, my life has changed deeply, and so have my perspective and values.

Much of that has come from living in Dubai, UAE for over 28 years, absorbing and appreciating the culture here … and from Rio changing the direction of my life completely.

On days like my birthday and Mother’s Day, I never want gifts or money spent on me. They feel unnecessary.

My wish list is always the same.

The hope:

Family time
Homemade cards
Homemade vegan waffles, sitting around our table together for breakfast at home
Family walks with our dog Luna

And if possible, as a treat:

Lunch at - the best plant-based restaurant in the UAE and my favourite restaurant
An evening on the sofa at home watching a movie with the family, eating the best plant-based cheese I have ever tasted from

Seva Table & Grawtitude are always on my treat wish list!

And that is exactly what I got yesterday.

I feel very lucky.

Thank you for all the kind birthday messages I received.
And thank you for the delicious cakes from Roselyn & Sonia, and the beautiful flowers from Annie.

THANK YOU to my family for a lovely day - I feel seen, loved and appreciated.

The only thing I didn’t get was the kitten on my list… but I knew I was pushing my luck with that one! 😂😹

Rio has taught me that the simplest things are often the most important and fulfilling. 🤍

Feeling very blessed and grateful.

Today is Delphine Watson's birthday and there are not enough words in the world to do her justice. 🐺

The world records are amazing. The races are unforgettable. But nothing I have ever witnessed comes close to watching her be Tia and Rio's mum.

She made them both feel seen. Completely. Unconditionally. Always.

Tia built a brand. Rio reminds everyone around him what truly matters.

Behind both of them, always, is their mum.
