For the past two years, at Emirates International School - Jumeirah, the students have organized TEDx Youth Day Events in Dubai, on Universal Children's Day. TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulat
e dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. The event basically asks people from different walks of life to share their stories and inspire others.We had a brilliant first year, appearing in several newspapers and hosting to a great audience. This year, we will be hosting another event on Wednesday, 16th April 2014. Our theme this year was initiated by the catalyst that brings about dynamic ideas, the revolutionary moment that brings about a progressive change, the foundation to an expanse of philosophies – “THE SPARK.”
