The Norwegian Business Council has the vision to be the pricipal facilitator between Norway and the UAE.

Norwegian Business Council is a non-profit organisation for Norwegian related companies and individuals in United Arab Emirates. Our purpose is to promote business relations between our members. We also aim at being a social factor and to raise awareness of Norwegian companies and activities in the UAE. The management of NBC is confined to an Executive Board whose responsibility is to organise a r

Welcome to Team Norway Breakfast Meeting on 25 June

Innovation Norway, in cooperation with Norwegian Business Council Dubai and Norwegian Energy Partners, invites you to a breakfast meeting with Olav Myklebust, Ambassador of Norway to the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait.

The meeting will focus on the current political and economic situation, as well as business opportunities and challenges in the region.

When: Thursday, 25 June 2026, 08:30–10:00
Where: Innovation Norway, DAMAC Executive Heights, Dubai
Serving: Coffee, tea, juice and light breakfast

There will be briefings from the Ambassador, Dubai Chamber, NBC and NORWEP, followed by Q&A and discussion.

Watch Norway vs. France with NBC at Garden on 8!

On Friday, 26 June, the Norwegian Business Council invites Norwegians and friends of Norway to a Norway vs. France Watch Party at Garden on 8, Media One Hotel.

This event will replace our regular monthly Lønningspils, and we hope to bring the Norwegian community together for an evening of football, food, drinks and great company.

🎟️ AED 95 including burger, fries, popcorn and a house pint or beverage of choice

Lønningspils Thursday 28 May: New location

As Dubai is getting warmer, this month’s Lønningspils will take place at a new location: The Garden Project.

Join us on Thursday 28 May from 6 PM for an informal evening with the Norwegian community and friends of Norway in Dubai.

Lønningspils is a relaxed monthly meet-up where you can meet familiar faces, make new connections and enjoy a casual evening together.

Annual General Meeting 2026

Earlier this year, NBC held its Annual General Meeting at Media One Hotel, with a historically strong turnout from our members.

It was a great opportunity to reflect on the year behind us, look ahead to what is next for NBC, and gather members of the Norwegian business community in the UAE.

Yesterday’s Lønningspils brought together 35 people from the Norwegian network in UAE for an informal evening of good conversations, new connections and a relaxed atmosphere.

A special moment of the evening was when our President, Sidsel Ostad Halvorsen, was interviewed live by NRK for Dagsrevyen. The segment also included a great interview with our Platinum Member Jotun Paints Arabia , represented by NBC Board Member Kjetil Urheim.

As Sidsel said:
“Right now, it is important to be on the ground, stay here and continue doing business.”

🇳🇴 Let’s celebrate 17 May together 🇳🇴

We are pleased to invite the Norwegian community in UAE to our annual National Day celebration. Join us at The Strand on 16 May for a festive evening with great company. We will start with a classic Norwegian sausage bar on arrival, because no 17 May is complete without a proper sausage 😋 before moving indoors for dinner, dessert, and a great atmosphere.
