The King is dead. Long live the King.

Today, Norway mourns the passing of His Majesty King Harald V.

For more than three decades, King Harald served Norway with dedication, warmth and a deep sense of duty. He was a unifying figure through times of celebration and times of sorrow, and a steady representative of the values and traditions that bind us together as a nation.

For Norwegians living abroad, the King has also represented something deeply familiar: a connection to home, to our shared identity and to Norway, wherever in the world we may be.

From the Norwegian Business Council in Dubai, we express our deep gratitude for his lifelong service to the Kingdom of Norway, to the Norwegian people, and to Norwegians around the world.

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and with all those mourning his passing today.

Thank you, Your Majesty, for your service to Norway
