The Malaysian Business Council UAE extends its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali.

May her legacy of grace, dedication and service continue to be remembered by generations of Malaysians.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, her family and loved ones.

The Malaysian Business Council (MBC) was pleased to participate in the 3rd Roundtable Discussion for Business Councils and Business Groups for 2026, hosted by Dubai Chambers.

It was a productive and engaging session, with Dubai Chambers sharing valuable insights, recent updates and initiatives relevant to the business community, alongside active participation and exchange of views among the various business councils and groups.

Among the key highlights shared during the session were:

• Business Councils & Groups: Dubai Chambers currently has 70 business groups and 62 active business councils, with new groups and councils recently formed, including those representing the Cement sector, Contractors, Uzbekistan and Kenya.

• Agentic AI for Business Growth: Dubai Chambers has initiated an online Agentic AI course for business leaders, comprising five modules designed to help business leaders better understand and leverage AI for business growth.

• Dubai Chambers ESG Label: An ESG Label initiative is being developed to recognise companies demonstrating best practices in ESG, providing an opportunity for businesses to strengthen their ESG credentials and visibility.

• Sustainability Initiatives: Dubai Chambers also highlighted a number of upcoming sustainability-related events in October 2026, with further programmes and initiatives to be shared in due course.

We will share the presentation materials and further details with all MBC members once they are received from Dubai Chambers.

Expanding Through Southeast Asia Through Dubai

The Malaysian Business Council in the UAE was pleased to join fellow ASEAN Business Councils for a meaningful private session hosted by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) in collaboration with the ASEAN Business Council Alliance, UAE.

The session brought together business leaders and representatives from Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia, alongside Ambassadors, Consuls General, Business Council Chairpersons, members and guests.

We were honoured to hear the keynote address by H.E. Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of DMCC, and to exchange views on the growing opportunities between ASEAN and the UAE.

For Malaysia, the UAE remains an important partner and a strategic gateway to the wider region. With the Malaysia-UAE CEPA now signed, there is an even stronger platform for Malaysian businesses to build partnerships, expand into new markets and grow internationally.

MBC is proud to be part of the ASEAN Business Council Alliance and looks forward to continuing this collaboration with DMCC and our fellow Councils to strengthen business ties, create connections and open new opportunities.

The Malaysian Business Council in the UAE (MBC) is pleased to partner with DMCC and fellow ASEAN Business Councils; Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia; for Expanding From Southeast Asia Through Dubai, a private session bringing together selected ASEAN business leaders to explore opportunities for regional and global expansion through Dubai.

As trade and investment links between Southeast Asia and the UAE continue to grow, the session will provide practical insights into how businesses can use Dubai as a base for market access, sector connectivity and international growth. The Malaysian Business Council UAE was delighted to support the Durian & Feast event hosted by the Consulate General of Malaysia in Dubai, bringing together the best of Malaysian hospitality, culture and cuisine.

Our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Riaz Razak, Consul General of Malaysia in Dubai, Mr. Irfan Idrus, Vice Consul Agriculture UAE, and the entire team at the Consulate for the successful organisation of this wonderful event.

It was truly a night to remember, with Malaysian durian taking centre stage and becoming the hottest topic of conversation! Guests had the opportunity to discover why Malaysian durian is regarded as one of the world's finest, while also enjoying an incredible spread of authentic Malaysian fruits, food and hospitality.
