It was from this belief and the desire to give children - regardless of their gender, nationa

lity, race or religion - the opportunity to become positive contributors to society, that His Highness established Dubai Cares on September 19, 2007. Since its inception, Dubai Cares, part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has been working towards providing children and young people in developing countries with access to quality education through the design and funding of programs that aim to be integrated, impactful, sustainable and scalable. As a result, the UAE-based global philanthropic organization has successfully launched education programs reaching over 116 million beneficiaries in 60 developing countries.

It was a pleasure to welcome Ms. , Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, to our Dubai Cares office, where she met with H.E. Dr. , Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares.

The discussion focused on global efforts to advance education transformation, youth empowerment, skills development and lifelong learning.

The visit reaffirmed our shared commitment to positioning education as a key pillar of human development.

It was a pleasure to welcome Ms. Amina J. Mohammed , Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, at our Dubai Cares’ office where she met with H.E. Dr. Tariq Al Gurg , Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Dubai Cares. They discussed the importance of global convening platforms in informing and shaping a mechanism that advances education transformation worldwide.

The discussion also explored evolving human development priorities, with a focus on equipping youth with the skills and opportunities needed to access meaningful employment and succeed in a rapidly changing world.

The visit concluded with Dr. Al Gurg presenting Ms. Mohammed with a token of appreciation for her continued commitment to advancing the sustainable development agenda and for her support of Dubai Cares’ mission to position education as a key pillar of human development globally.

The visit reaffirmed a shared commitment to empowering communities and building a more inclusive and equitable future for children and youth around the world.

‎كما تطرّق النقاش إلى الأولويات الراهنة في مجال التنمية البشرية، وبالأخص أهمية تزويد الشباب بالمهارات اللازمة وفرص العمل الهادفة للتكيّف مع عالم دائم التغيّر.

‎وفي ختام الزيارة، قدّم الدكتور القرق للسيدة محمد درعاً تكريمياً تقديراً لالتزامها المتواصل بتعزيز أجندة التنمية المستدامة، ودعمها لدبي العطاء ومهمتها المتمثلة في ترسيخ مكانة التعليم كركيزة أساسية لتحقيق التنمية البشرية حول العالم.

‎وقد أكّدت هذه الزيارة على الالتزام المشترك بتمكين المجتمعات وبناء مستقبل أكثر شمولاً وإنصافاً للأطفال والشباب على الصعيد العالمي.
