Emirates Green Building Council is proud to recognise DesertBoard® as a Sponsor of the 15th Annual EmiratesGBC Congress, taking place on 27–28 October 2026 at Dusit Thani Dubai.

Held under the Title “20 Years, Beyond the Sandbox: From Benchmark to Breakthrough,” this year’s Congress marks two decades of the UAE’s green building journey and explores how the built environment can move beyond pilots and voluntary commitments towards mainstream adoption, measurable performance, and sector-wide transformation.

DesertBoard is the manufacturer of Palm Strand Board (PSB®), transforming upcycled palm fronds into high-performance building materials. As the world’s first factory to produce a Super E0 structural-grade board from upcycled palm fronds, DesertBoard demonstrates how resource recovery and innovative manufacturing can contribute to more sustainable construction.

With an annual production capacity equivalent to 5,200 containers, DesertBoard supports applications across construction, interior fit-outs, events and exhibitions, and landscaping. Its PSB® technology also contributes to carbon-conscious building practices, with each cubic metre of board sequestering 1,430 kg of biogenic carbon, according to the company.
