It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Ali Fadhlani, a respected EFQM Trainer, Assessor, and Excellence Expert.

Ali made a meaningful contribution to advancing organizational excellence across the region through his professionalism, expertise, and dedication to developing individuals and organizations. Throughout his work with the excellence community, he was widely respected for his integrity, collaborative spirit, and commitment to continuous improvement.

His impact and legacy will continue to inspire many across the region and the wider excellence community.

Our sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

Reflecting on a Year of Impact in the Middle East

Excellence is not a destination — it’s a collective journey built through commitment, capability, and trust.

As the year comes to a close, it’s rewarding to reflect on the progress achieved across the Middle East excellence ecosystem with our members, partners, assessors, and institutions.

Throughout the year, we supported organisations across the region through assessments, impact workshops, and capability-building initiatives.
We also launched the EFQM Business Transformation Leader programme, further strengthening leadership and transformation capability across the region. Schools were recognised through the EFQM Hamdan Educational Award, reflecting the growing adoption of excellence practices across sectors.

This progress was supported by a growing EFQM team in the Middle East, strengthening our capacity to deliver at scale and support organisations across the region.

Regional highlights:
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia continued strong momentum in support of Vision 2030, including the first EFQM Global Award participant achieving 6 Diamonds.
🇶🇦 Qatar saw deeper engagement, with government entities advancing on their excellence journeys.
🇦🇪 In the UAE, we continued working with leading public and private sector entities.
🇯🇴 In Jordan, with KACE, we supported national capability-building priorities.
🌍 Engagement also expanded across Oman, Bahrain, and Iraq.

Throughout the year, we also hosted and participated in regional events and conferences, including the EFQM Global Conference, where Middle East organisations were recognised on the global stage.

Progress continued in advancing EFQM Transform, using Sapience to translate assessment insight into targeted transformation, capability building, and sustained performance improvement.

Building on this foundation, the Middle East continues to play a key role in supporting EFQM’s global impact.
