We reviewed the year together, presented the annual reports, and reflected on the progress, challenges, and achievements of our growing community.

The Russian Business Council participated in the Russia–UAE Joint Governmental Committee meeting on 9 December, contributing to an important dialogue on expanding industrial cooperation.

Our Board Member, Roman Gavrilin, raised key challenges and practical mechanisms for increasing the presence of Russian equipment in the UAE market. On 25 November, the Russian Business Council arranged an official visit to Sustainable City Dubai for a delegation of mayors and municipal leaders from across the Russian Federation, participants of the International School of Municipal Leadership program.

The program included:

A comprehensive presentation on Sustainable City’s development model, governance structure, and environmental framework

Discussions with the city’s leadership team on policy innovation, smart infrastructure, and community-driven sustainability

On 24 November, the Russian Business Council had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation of mayors and municipal leaders from across the Russian Federation, participating in the International School of Municipal Leadership program.

The roundtable, held at Capital Club Dubai, opened with a welcome note from the Mr. Saleh Al-Aroud Chairman of the Russian Business Council, followed by an address from the Mr. Maxim Vladimirov Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

The program continued with two key presentations:
Amjad Mustafa, Managing Partner & General Partner at Yellow Fin Venture Capital Fund, explored the effect of technology on modern urban environments; and Ahmad Rafal, Global Senior Director for the Transportation Sector at Khatib & Alami, presented innovative, situation-specific techniques in bridge design and construction across the Middle East.

This visit reflects the growing interest of Russian municipalities in Dubai’s experience in governance, innovation, and city management. The Russian Business Council remains committed to fostering dialogue, sharing best practices, and building meaningful bridges between our communities.
