Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council

The council aims to empower women economically and socially through the crafts across the MENASEA and Central Asia regions.

Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council is an affiliate of NAMA Women Advancement Establishment (NAMA), which was established under an Emiri Decree by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and is chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah. By representing both traditional and modern crafts and developing a fresh narrative for the sector,

it aims to create new market opportunities, deliver social development programmes, host vocational training and preserve the skills and rich cultural heritage of the region for current and future generations.
