الحمد لله على السلامة ومرحباً بالجميع من جديد! نأمل أن تكونوا قد قضيتم صيفاً مريحاً ومنعشاً، ونحن متحمسون لبدء موسم آخر من التواصل والتعلم والتجارب التي لا تُنسى معاً.

انضموا إلينا في نادي الفنون، المفتوح للجميع، في استوديو الفنون بمنارة السعديات.

سنستكشف خلال شهر سبتمبر موضوع الامتنان من خلال ممارسة الترقيع.

انضموا إلينا في جلسة إبداعية لصنع مفارش طعام من القماش باستخدام تقنيات الترقيع والتطريز، بما في ذلك الرموز والأنماط والصور التي تعكس الامتنان والتجارب الإيجابية والروابط والأشياء التي نُقدّرها في حياتنا اليومية.

👥 الفئة المستهدفة: الشباب البالغون 10 عامًا فما فوق. نرحب بانضمام الأصدقاء والأشقاء وطلاب المدارس.

Welcome back! We hope you had a relaxing and rejuvenating summer, and we’re excited to begin another season of connection, learning, and memorable experiences together.

Join us for the Arts Club, open to the public, at the Art Studio in Manarat Al Saadiyat.

This month, we explore the September theme of Gratitude through quilting.

Join us for a creative session creating fabric placemats using quilting and cross-stitching techniques, including symbols, patterns, and images that reflect gratitude, positive experiences, and the connections and things we value in our everyday lives.

👥 Who is this for: All Youth ages 10+. Friends, siblings, and school students are welcome to join.

Deadline for registration: Friday September 4th, 12 pm.

Registration does not guarantee your participation. Youth of Determination are required to be registered with SEDRA.

مع نهاية موسم الفعاليات، قمنا بتوديع أحد الأعضاء القدامي في مجتمعنا المدعو مايلغوين حيث إنه يبدأ فصلاً جديدًا من حياته العملية، عائدًا إلى وطنه.

لقد سعدنا بمرافقة ميلغوين في مسيرته عبر السنين، وشهدناه ينمو في ثقته، ويحتضن تجارب جديدة، ويصبح جزءًا لا يتجزأ من مجتمعنا.

وقبل مغادرته، شاطرنا ميلغوين بعض الكلمات المؤثرة سطرها في قالب قصيدة جميلة تعكس حبه لأبوظبي والانتماء العميق الذي وجده هنا. تذكرنا قصيدته بأن المجتمع ليس مجرد مكان، بل هو الأشخاص الذين يجعلوننا نشعر بأننا ملء السمع والبصر وأننا مقدرون ومترابطون.

ونحن إذْ نودع ميلغوين وعائلته و لاسيما أخته المتطوعة المميزة إيستر، نقول: شكرًا لكونكم جزءًا من عائلة سدرة، وسنحتفظ بكل الذكريات والضحكات واللحظات التي شاركناها معاً. متمنين لكم كل النجاح والسعادة في الفصل القادم من حياتكم ولا زال التوفيق حليفكم في إيجاد الصداقة والانتماء والدمج أينما حللتم ورحلتم.

As the season came to a close, we bade farewell to one of our long-time community members, Maelgwyn, as he embarks on a new chapter, moving back home.

It has been a privilege to witness Maelgwyn's journey. Over the years, we have seen him grow in confidence, embrace new experiences, and become an integral part of our community.

Before leaving, Maelgwyn shared a few heartfelt words and a beautiful poem reflecting his love for Abu Dhabi and the deep sense of belonging he found here. His message reminds us that community is not simply a place, it is the people who make us feel seen, valued, and connected.

To Maelgwyn and his family including his superstar volunteer sister Ester, thank you for being part of the SEDRA Family we will cherish all the memories, laughter, and moments we've shared. We wish you every success and happiness in this next chapter. May you continue to find friendship, belonging, and inclusion wherever life takes you.

يوم المرأة الإماراتية | ٢٨ أغسطس - ٢٨ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٦

تحتفل الإمارات بيوم المرأة الإماراتية ٢٠٢٦ على مدار شهر كامل وذلك اعتباراً من ٢٨ أغسطس وحتى ٢٨ سبتمبر، مستلهمةً من شعار رؤية ٢٠٢٦: "بنخرج الأقوى والأفضل".

يعكس هذا الشعار صمود المرأة الإماراتية وإنجازاتها ومساهماتها المتنامية، وبدورها المتواصل في رسم ملامح مستقبل الإمارات الأزهى والأكثر إشراقاً.

ومؤسسة تعتز وتفخر بتكريم المرأة الإماراتية التي تُلهمنا وتقودنا وتُنمّينا وتُسهم في مجتمعنا يوميًا.

The theme celebrates the resilience, achievements, and growing contributions of Emirati women and the many ways they continue to shape the UAE’s even a brighter future.

نحتفل اليوم بإنجاز خاص جدًا ألا وهو تخرج عضوتنا القديمة في مجتمع سدرة، كليفيني، من المدرسة الثانوية!

لقد سُعدنا بمشاهدة كليفيني عبر السنين وهي تكتسب تجارب جديدة، وتبني الثقة بالنفس، وتصبح عضوًا ملهماً ومشاركاً فاعلاً في مجتمعنا. هذا الإنجاز دليل على تفانيها وإصرارها والدعم المستمر من عائلتها.

على مدى الأشهر القليلة الماضية، تكاتف مجتمعنا من أجل توفير فرص هادفة للتواصل والإبداع والانتماء بفندق فيرمونت باب البحر.

من حفلة الإفطار العائلية السنوية خلال شهر رمضان المبارك، إلى جلسات حلقة المبدعين العائلية التي تحتفل بعام الأسرة الإماراتية، والحفل الختامي مع حلول عطلة الصيف الذي تضمن باقةً متنوعةً من البرامج، فقد كانن كل فعالية فرصة للمشاركين والعائلات والمتطوعين للتعلم والإبداع والنمو معاً.

ولا يفوتنا أن نعرب عن خالص تقديرنا لفندق فيرمونت باب البحر على استضافته الكريمة لهذه الفعاليات ولشراكتهم المستمرة في دعم مسيرة الدمج وتوفير مساحات مفتوحة لعائلات أصحاب الهمم. لقد ساعد كرم ضيافتكم والتزامكم في جعل كل حدثٍ تجربة لا تنسى لمجتمعنا.

Over the past few months, our community has come together to create meaningful moments of connection, creativity, and belonging at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr.

From our annual Family Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, to the Family Creators Circle sessions celebrating the UAE Year of Family, and our Summer Wrap Up event reflecting on another impactful season of programs, each gathering has been an opportunity for participants, families and volunteers to learn, create, and grow together.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Fairmont Bab Al Bahr for graciously hosting these events and for their continued partnership in supporting inclusion and creating welcoming spaces for families of Determination. Your hospitality and commitment have helped make each event a memorable experience for our community.

Together, we continue building a barrier-free, inclusive and sustainable society.

مع نهاية موسمٍ آخرَ ناجحٍ من الفعاليات، ضم الحفل الختامي الصيفي أفراد عائلات أصحاب الهمم على صعيد واحد لقضاء أمسيةٍ مليئةٍ بالتأمل والتواصل وبهجة الصيف.

شارك الآباء والأمهات ومقدمو الرعاية والشباب أصحاب الهمم تأملاتهم بعضهم مع البعض، واحتفلوا بأبرز أحداث الموسم الماضي، وقدموا ملاحظات قيمة ستساعد في تشكيل برامجنا للأشهر القادمة.

وتماشياً مع عام الأسرة الإماراتية، حصلت كل عائلة على دليل صيفي خاص مليء بأنشطة مبتكرة صديقة للعائلة تهدف إلى تمديد التعلم، وتشجيع التواصل، وخلق لحظات لا تنسى. وقد كان أبرز ما في هذه الأمسية حصول العائلات على فرصة لرسم بورتريه عائلي خاص - وهو نشاط تلوين جماعي شغل العائلة بأكملها برسمه وتزيينه واحتفاظه به كتذكار خاص.

وجزيل شكرنا موصول لفندق فيرمونت باب البحر على استضافته الكريمة مرةً أخرى لمجتمعنا ببالغ الكرم والحفاوة والدفء المعهود.

As another successful season of events comes to a close, our Summer Wrap Up brought together Families of Determination for an afternoon of reflection, connection, and summer joy.

Together, parents, caregivers, and Youth of Determination shared their reflections, celebrated the highlights of the past season, and provided valuable feedback that will help shape our programs for the months to come.

Aligned with the UAE’s Year of the Family, each family received a special Summer Playbook filled with creative family-friendly activities designed to extend learning, encourage connection, and create memorable moments. The highlight of the evening was families receiving a personalized Family Portrait Sketch - a collective coloring activity for the whole family to paint,

ندعو الشباب أصحاب الهمم، برفقة اثنين من أفراد عائلاتهم كحدٍ أقصى، للانضمام إلى حفلة الديسكو الصامتة ذات الطابع السينمائي. سنستمتع بصحبة بعضنا البعض، ونرقص على أنغام الموسيقى باستخدام سماعات الرأس، ونتناول أشهى المأكولات، ونقضي أوقاتًا ممتعة في استقبال عطلة الصيف.

ستتبادل العائلات آراءها وملاحظاتها وتجاربها وتأثيرها. إذْ تتيح هذه الجلسة المهمة فرصة لتخطيطٍ أفضل مع تقييمٍ لاحتياجات الموسم القادم. سيحصل جميع المشاركين على كتيب صيفي مميز مليء بأنشطة عائلية ممتعة لتعزيز التعلم، وترسيخ المعلومات، وعيش لحظات ماتعة لا تُنسى.

As summer break approaches, SEDRA invites families of Determination for an interactive season wrap up.

Families will share feedback, reflections, and impact. This important session will allow for better planning and needs assessments for next season. All participants will receive a special summer workbook packet filled with fun family activities for extending learning, retention, and memorable moments.
