"The Dignity of the Child in the Digital World"- Nicholas D**e
With constant advancement in technology, children are offered more opportunities for learning, connection and creativity. The social media for instance helps them to stay connected with their friends and family members. It enhances their creativity as they share ideas, develop content, music or art among other benefits.
However, it poses a serious threat to the dignity of the children who are the most vulnerable members of the society. As children and adolescents spend more time online for learning, socializing and entertainment, they encounter different risks including cyber bullying, privacy concerns and exposure to inappropriate or harmful content, to mention but a few.
Cyber bullying is the most common online risk for children. Through this, the kids can be teased or harassed online. It can affect the psychological, physical, mental and emotional well being of the child. It has also been linked to depression, loneliness and su***de at times.
It is therefore the responsibility of parents, teachers, and every adult to protect the children around them in this digital world because protecting the children is one of the best steps in making the world a better place for everyone.

Every child should be respected
The right of every child should valued and dignified for their own sake.
