Whilst we embrace community engagement, we do not allow the breeding, selling or buying of animals. Al Raha Cats was founded by a dedicated group of residents who are passionate about the welfare of all community cats in the Al Raha area. Our mission is to care for our community cats and find caring homes locally for the animals we rescue. Through our commitment to feline welfare with our TNR (Tra

p-Neuter-Return) program and with the help of volunteers who are willing to offer their time to assist with feeding, medical care, short/long term fostering and adoption - or by simply offering love, we strongly believe that together - we can make a difference. 🐾 ADOPT PIXIE and SIMBA🐾

These adorable siblings share such a beautiful bond and are never far from each others side. Whilst their siblings Ziggy and Rocky found their forever homes, Pixie and Simba have been in foster since they were 3 months old. Sadly an adoption offer in the UK fell through a day before they were due to fly 😪 so our beautiful kitties are still waiting for their happy everafter ❤️

They have the most wonderful nature, playful, sometimes mischievious, but also very loving and gentle. Simba can be a little shy around new people to begin with but he takes his confidence from his more confident sister Pixie. They rely on each other ... play together, sleep together, and are completely bonded so must be rehomed together 🙏🥰

Around 8 months old, fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and clear from all known diseases. They are also great around dogs and with a few days patient introduction, other cats too 🥰❤️

They have been in foster since they were 3 months old and truly deserve their very own home.

🐾 TEMPORARY FOSTER NEEDED FOR BOB 🐾
[19 to 29 September]

Bob was picked up for medical treatment but it was clear to us and the vets that contrary to our original thoughts, Bob wasnt a street cat. He is extremely friendly and he just loves everyone, people, cats, dogs .. hes just a big old chunk of burning love ❤️

Bob is FIV positive (FeLV negative), but being a complete lover not a fighter, he poses no risk to other household kitties and is currently sharing a foster home with bonded kitty siblings (male/female) as well as 2 dogs. He is very calm, quiet but also playful and a joy to have around.

Bobs foster is going on holiday so we are looking for a temporary placement for 10 days only. If you can help, please reach out.

We are also looking for a FOREVER HOME 🏡 for Bob, so if your looking for cuddles galore, and the company of a true gentle kitty, Bob's your guy 🥰❤️🐾

🐾 BEAUTIFUL WILLOW 🐾 had already been dealt a cruel hand when she was discovered abandoned in bushes in Al Raha, desperately trying to care for her four kittens. With no safe place to go and hungry mouths depending on her, Willow was left to fend for herself and her babies. Al Raha Cats volunteers stepped in, feeding the little family and checking on them regularly as the kittens grew stronger.

The volunteers watched over the kittens until they were old enough to be neutered and placed into foster care. Two of Willow’s babies (Rocky & Ziggy) were lucky enough to find forever homes but sadly having secured homes overseas her remaining kittens adoptions fell through leaving Pixie & Simba still waiting for someone to choose them.

For Willow, there was no easy happily-ever-after either. Once her kittens were old enough, she was neutered and returned to the community. But life on the streets proved far harder than anyone had hoped. Bullied by other cats and increasingly frightened, Willow struggled to cope. When volunteers came to feed her, she would plead for their attention, desperate for affection and reassurance.

It was painfully clear that Willow was not coping. She was struggling simply to survive, and the volunteers could not bear to leave her to face the dangers of the streets alone. They scooped her up and brought her into foster care and for the first time in a long time, Willow had a safe place to sleep, regular food and, most importantly, people who loved her.

Willow has blossomed into a spirited little character. She is smart, wonderfully chatty and loves nothing more than watching cat TV. She follows her humans around, seemingly determined to be part of whatever they are doing, and has a huge personality packed into her beautiful tabby coat.

But there is still one thing Willow is waiting for — a family to call her own. After being abandoned with her babies, bullied on the streets and left frightened and vulnerable, she deserves more than a temporary safe haven. She deseeves a warm bed, a loving family and the security of knowing she will never be abandoned again.

Juliet was found abandoned in Al Raha .. sadly an all too common story. When we found her she was extremely thin and malnourished so we can only imagine how she suffered on the streets in this heat 😪
But just look at this beautiful girl now 😍

Meet Callie. A beautiful 1-year-old calico girl who was found trying to get into a building in Raha.

From the moment we met her, we knew Callie was not a street cat.

She is incredibly gentle, sweet and friendly. She was clean, well cared for and completely comfortable around people. We had her spayed, and she has since tested negative for FIV, FeLV & FCOV, and is now vaccinated and microchipped. ❤️

But here’s the part that broke our hearts…

When we collected Callie from the vet, the plan was to release her back to where she had been found so we put her carrier in the car.

Callie sat quietly, we opened her carrier to comfort her, then she climbed out of her carrier, straight onto our lap… curled up … and started to PURR. 🥹🙈

Unsure what to do, we waited a while trying to think of a solution, then she moved, curled up on the back seat and went to sleep 🙈

How could we possibly put her back on the street?😪 We couldn’t fail her twice. 💔

Callie is currently in boarding, but this is absolutely not where she belongs. She needs a foster home urgently, or ideally, a forever family who will give her the safe, loving home she clearly deserves.

She has done her part. She found her way to us. Now we need someone to give her the rest of her story. 🐾❤️

🐾 MEET CALLI 🐾

This beautiful calico kitty spent days trying to get inside a building in Al Raha when she was found by one of our volunteers.

She is extremely sweet and friendly, happy to be held and handled and her teeth and ears were very clean. Calli is a little thin, but is very healthy, so although our first instincts were that she is a stray, we think she may have been abandoned and placed on the street recently.

Calli was taken to the vets for medical attention and has been spayed and is doing really well 🥰

Unfortunately we are struggling to find fosters so sadly we will have to release this sweet sweet girl and hope that she is able to thrive in our community being looked after by our volunteers.

Many of our community kitties are friendly and socialised and would transition well back into homes. Please consider adopting. You can reach out to us for information about any of our Raha Cats.

🐾 CLEO has been ADOPTED ❤️🥰🐾

Not long ago, Cleo was cruelly abandoned in a basement car park and left to fend for herself but thankfully, her story didn't end there.

Cleo found herself an angel when a very kind lady found her and stepped in to help, seeking medical attention for her, sponsoring her initial medical costs and notified us of her plight. Cleo went into veterinary care and we started our search to find her a wonderful home 🥰🏡

Cleo didnt have long to wait as her new mama contacted us promising Cleo a home and even offered to cover the rest of her boarding and ongoing medical costs 🙏🥰

Cleo now has a wonderful new mama and a very loving home and we couldnt be happier.

Thank you to everyone involved who stepped in to give this beautiful girl a 2nd chance and her happy ever after 🥰❤️

🐾 BOB needs your help 🐾

Can you foster Bob? Can you give us time to find a home for him?

You should ideally have no other cats or be able to provide a segregated environment at least for the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Bob was picked up in Al Raha for medical treatment, and it was first thought (because hes a ginger and white mau) that he was a street cat. Sadly this doesnt appear to be the case.

Bob is extremely friendly, has previously been neutered and undergone extensive dental treatment. He shys away from other street cats, seems frightened and has been bullied. He just doesnt seem to have the survival street cat instincts he needs and so has suffered. We can't be sure of course, but what we do know is that he isnt doing well on the streets.

Although he is currently undergoing treatment for calicivirus, he is otherwise strong and healthy.

Yes we should return him to the street, but our heart and instinct tells us we just can't.

Look at his face, his eyes, he has so much character and has been through so much.

He isnt a fancy breed persian, but to us he is perfect. Maus are often overlooked, but are our favourite breed because they are so characterful and loving ❤️🥰

🐾 Fluffy needs a home 🐾

Fluffy was found on the streets, struggling with the summer heat and his health declining. We took him in as a foster — just to help him survive, stabilize, and get healthy enough to find a proper home. Over these past weeks, he’s become the sweetest, most affectionate boy. Always close by, always playful, always trusting.

He’s about a year old, neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy through and through.

We’re moving soon, and unfortunately we don’t have the option to take him with us. Now it’s time for him to find the forever family he truly deserves, one who can give him the love and stability he needs for the rest of his life.

He comes with his litter box and toys, and everything he needs for a smooth transition. 💕
