Our 2027 Food finalists are strengthening food systems by helping crops withstand climate pressures, turning agricultural waste into valuable resources and restoring soil health.

From Adaptive Symbiotic Technologies in the United States, which uses beneficial fungi and bacteria to help crops tolerate drought, heat and salinity, to ALSEC
in Colombia, which transforms cheese whey into food ingredients and reusable water, and TOWING in Japan, which combines biochar and beneficial microbes to restore soil health.

From Elythea's AI that predicts pregnancy complications months in advance, to GOAL 3's bedside monitoring that spots deterioration in children and newborns earlier, to Marsi Bionics' paediatric exoskeleton that helps children walk, these innovators are changing how care is delivered at life's most critical moments.

This year, innovators from around the world answered the call like never before.
We received 10,233 submissions from 177 countries, 32% more than last year. That shows how fast the global drive for practical solutions is growing.
Across Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action and Global High Schools, 33 finalists have been selected for solutions designed to improve lives, strengthen communities and build greater resilience.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll spotlight each of our 33 finalist organisations and high schools.
The winners will be announced on 12 January 2027.

In just over three months, we'll celebrate the winners of the 2027 Prize, recognised for solutions that are improving lives and driving meaningful progress in communities around the world.

Across Climate Week NYC, one question connected many of the conversations we joined: what does it take for proven solutions to go further?

Throughout the week, the Zayed Sustainability Prize convened and joined investors, innovators, policymakers, business leaders and partners to examine the capital, collaboration and connections that can help sustainability solutions scale.

From impact investing and cross-sector partnerships to AI, resilient systems and finance, Prize winners brought practical experience from solutions already delivering results in communities around the world.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and helping create more opportunities for proven solutions to reach the people and places that need them most.
