We’re proud to share that Goals UAE has been shortlisted for the Middle Easy Sports Industry Awards for our Inclusive Cycling Ecosystem.

What started as one weekly cycling session has grown into something much bigger. Athletes training consistently each week. Coaches building confidence in inclusion. Volunteers returning season after season. Families showing up not just for sport, but for community.

This recognition reflects the strength of the ecosystem being built together alongside partners and , and the many coaches, volunteers, families, and athletes who continue to shape it week by week.

Inclusion in sport does not happen through one event or one organization alone. It grows through consistency, collaboration, and communities willing to adapt and learn together.

GOALS UAE recognised on a global stage 🇦🇹

We are proud to share that GOALS UAE has been named a 2026 Innovative Solution Awardee at the Zero Project Conference, held in Vienna.

Founder Khawla Barley and Director of Sport & Community Helen Beckley attended the conference, where Khawla spoke on a panel exploring how sport can build community and scale through decentralised models.

Selected from 586 nominations across 93 countries, and reviewed by more than 400 global experts, this recognition places GOALS UAE among 75 innovations from 51 countries working to remove barriers across sectors.

This acknowledgement reflects collective effort - coaches delivering consistent weekly sessions, families shaping direction, academies integrating inclusive pathways, and partners embedding dedicated categories within mainstream community events.

International recognition is encouraging. More importantly, it affirms that structured collaboration creates durable inclusion.

Every Thursday, volunteers, parents, and coaches come together to support athletes both on and off the bikes. A shared commitment to ENCOURAGEMENT, PATIENCE, and PROGRESS, built through consistency and care.

It really does take a village.

That was the resounding feeling from today’s parent coffee morning with GOALS UAE.

A small, intimate gathering of parents, volunteers and coaches, sharing updates and hopes for the year ahead. What really stood out was that, although GOALS is rooted in sport, sport itself felt almost secondary.

What mattered most was the social connection. The personal growth. The confidence building. The friendships forming - not just for the students, but for volunteers and parents too.

Seeing young people encouraged to do more than they (or even their parents) ever imagined brings such a deep sense of hope. And being reminded that this journey is shared - supported by a genuine community is incredibly powerful.
