On the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, our CEO, H.E. Dr. Farida Al Hosani, joined an exclusive private dinner discussion: “The Untapped Potential: The Role of Private Capital in Ending Infectious Disease.” Hosted by and , the roundtable aimed to tackle a critical shift: how to mobilize private capital to close the global health funding gap.

That’s a wrap! Changing the conversation on health economics at . 📊✨

Yesterday morning, GLIDE convened the International Working Group on the Economics of Disease Elimination and Integration roundtable here in Geneva. The core focus? Transforming disease elimination from an ongoing cost center into a high-return economic investment.

For too long, economic evidence in public health has been fragmented. To build truly resilient health systems, we must shift away from isolated, vertical funding models toward an integrated economic approach that speaks the language of finance ministers and global donors alike. Achieving the end of preventable infectious diseases requires a rigorous, data-driven business case.

عقد المعهد العالمي للقضاء على الأمراض المعدية (GLIDE) صباح أمس في جنيف، اجتماع الجلسة الثالثة لـ "مجموعة العمل الدولية المعنية باقتصاديات القضاء على الأمراض المعدية لدعم التكامل في سبل التصدي لها". وكان المحور الأساسي للنقاش تحويل مفهوم القضاء على الأمراض من مجرد عبء مالي مستمر إلى استثمار اقتصادي عالي العائد.

لقد عانت الأدلة الاقتصادية في مجال الصحة العامة لفترات طويلة من التشتت والتجزئة. ولبناء نظم صحية مرنة ومستدامة ، يتعين علينا الانتقال من نماذج التمويل العمودية المعزولة إلى نهج اقتصادي متكامل يتحدث لغة وزراء المالية والمانحين الدوليين على حد سواء. إن تحقيق هدف القضاء على الأمراض المعدية التي يمكن الوقاية منها يتطلب صياغة جدوى اقتصادية صارمة وقائمة على البيانات.

Yesterday, on the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, we convened a high-level roundtable focused on a critical frontier: AI for Health and Disease Elimination.

Under the core theme of “Cross-Sector Action for Impact,” global health leaders, tech innovators, and policy experts came together to dismantle traditional silos. The takeaway was clear: AI holds immense promise for accelerating the elimination of infectious diseases, but it cannot succeed in isolation.

Eliminating diseases requires bold, collective action. Thank you to all our incredible participants for bringing their unique expertise to the table!

على هامش أعمال جمعية الصحة العالمية التاسعة والسبعين في جنيف، عقدنا بالأمس حلقة نقاشية رفيعة المستوى ركزت على أحد أهم الآفاق المستقبلية: "الذكاء الاصطناعي في خدمة الصحة والقضاء على الأمراض".

وتحت شعار "العمل المشترك بين القطاعات من أجل إحداث الأثر"، التقى نخبة من قادة الصحة العالَميين، ومبتكري التكنولوجيا، وخبراء السياسات للتغلب على الحواجز التقليدية بين القطاعات. وكانت الخلاصة واضحة للجميع: يحمل الذكاء الاصطناعي آفاقاً واعدة وهائلة لتسريع القضاء على الأمراض المعدية، لكنه لا يمكن أن ينجح بمعزل عن الآخرين.

إن القضاء على الأمراض يتطلب عملاً جماعياً وجريئاً. كل الشكر والتقدير لجميع المشاركين الذين أثروا النقاش بخبراتهم ورؤاهم الاستثنائية!
