On 24 January, Girl Up Zimbabwe successfully hosted a Leadership & Professional Development Summit, bringing together over 100 girls eager to build skills, confidence, and clarity for their futures.

The summit featured impactful sessions from inspiring speakers:

Shalom Govero – Financial Literacy
Arshford Mariga – CV Writing Skills
Gamuchirai Chinamasa – Mental Health Awareness
Simbarashe Absolom Murondoti – Personal Development & Selling Your Skills
Our MC, Miriro Munodawafa, PMP® challenged attendees to remember that life meets you at the level of your audacity.

We also hosted two insightful panels:

Professional Development Panel, moderated by Nodeshah Maingehama featuring Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe,Bernard Juru, Chiedza Mlingwa and Kundai Maponga

Entrepreneurship Panel, moderated by Praise Muchetwa, featuring Audrey Nyoni, Kudzai Tinago and Epiphania Mafuku

What a powerful week in Bulawayo!
Our STEAM Bootcamp brought together 95 girls from 4 schools from Bulawayo and in a full day, they explored the world of Al, robotics, coding, aviation, and drone technology. The excitement, curiosity, and brilliance they showed reminded us why investing in girls' education in STEAM is non-negotiable.
