Access to food is not charity — it is a fundamental human right.
For too many families in Zimbabwe and across Africa, hunger is not caused by a lack of food, but by a lack of equity and opportunities.

We cannot talk about dignity, empowerment or development when people sleep on empty stomachs.
Ending hunger begins with systems that support farmers, protect the vulnerable, and give every person the chance to thrive.

A nourished community is a strong community.
Let’s work together for policies that uplift, economies that include everyone, and a future where no one is left behind.

Food is a human right — not a privilege. Yet, millions worldwide go to bed on an empty stomach.

Without food, there is no life, health, dignity or hope.

Urgent global action is needed to ensure everyone, everywhere, can access sufficient, nutritious food — so people can live healthy lives, thrive and achieve their full potential.

Drug and substance abuse is not just a personal tragedy — it is a national crisis that demands unified action.”

Today, we had the honour of attending the Drug and Substance Abuse Awareness Campaign and Skills Training Graduation Ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development.

One of the key takeaways from the Deputy Minister’s remarks was the devastating impact of drug and substance abuse — not only on individuals and families, but on the nation’s social and economic fabric. She emphasized the urgent need for civil society organizations, Faith based organizations and religious to work together in combating this challenge.

At Resilient Youth Africa Trust (RYAT), we fully agree.

We believe the most sustainable way to tackle drug and substance abuse is to address its root causes — particularly youth unemployment and lack of opportunities. By equipping young people with agricultural skills, digital skills, and pathways to economic independence, we can reduce vulnerability, build resilience, and contribute meaningfully toward Vision 2030.

A drug-free, empowered youth is the foundation of a prosperous, sustainable Zimbabwe.

🌱 Real Sustainability Starts With Us 🇿🇼

Real and lasting development does not come from outside interventions alone — it grows from within.
Our youth, our communities, our ideas, and our localised solutions are the true engines of transformation.

Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo.
A nation is built by its own people.

When we invest in young people — in smart agriculture, digital innovation, climate resilience, entrepreneurship, and community leadership — we unlock a sustainable future shaped by those who understand our challenges and possibilities best.

Zimbabwe’s growth story will not be imported.
It will be created by resilient young minds, empowered communities, and home-grown solutions that speak to our realities.

Let’s continue nurturing innovation at the grassroots.
Let’s champion youth-led development.
Let’s build a Zimbabwe where sustainability is not a buzzword, but a lived practice.

Because true progress begins where we are, with what we have, and with the vision of our own people.

We fully support the establishment of vocational training centres across the district. This initiative is a powerful step toward reducing the socio-economic inequality faced by rural communities. By expanding access to practical skills development, we can empower young people, unlock local opportunities, and raise the overall standard of living in rural areas.

Conrad Mupesa-Mashonaland West Bureau EACH district is set to have a Vocational Training Centre as the Government moves to promote national grassroots skills development, mainly in hard-to-reach communities, Youth Empowerment,…
