Reflecting on a, transformative workshop organised by Centre for Natural Resource Governance addressing the critical intersection of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Climate Change. The event brought together passionate advocates, community leaders, and experts to discuss how the climate crisis is exacerbating violence against women and girls worldwide.

Key takeaways included:
- Understanding how natural disasters and environmental displacement increase the vulnerability of women to exploitation and abuse.
- Exploring the links between economic stress due to climate impacts and rising domestic violence.
- Identifying strategies to empower women and girls in climate-affected areas, ensuring they have a voice in climate action and protection.

Together, we brainstormed real-world solutions to reduce both GBV and climate vulnerability. We left with renewed determination to create policies, raise awareness, and build more resilient, equitable communities. 🌱💪

A huge thank you to all the incredible speakers, facilitators, and participants who made this event a success. Let's continue to work towards a future where both women and the planet thrive.

On Tuesday the 19th of March with The Peacebuilding and Capacity Development Foundation (PACDEF) in partnership with the Centre for Natural Resource Governance(CNRG) convened a Manicaland Multi stakeholder conference with the aim to strengthen Mineral resource governance for sustainable development in Manicaland province. Every action we take, from the way we consume energy to the products we buy and the waste we generate, has a ripple effect on the health of our planet”
The conference had three main objectives which are:
1. Foster dialogue and collaboration between mining companies, civil society, the local communities and the government.
2. To troubleshoot mining related environment degradation which is on the rise
3. To apply a multi-stakeholder approach to dispute resolution due to the rising social conflicts due to conflicting land use interests among stakeholders
