The Community Youth Trust is a community based youth organisation which aims to empower young people. It was founded in 2014 by a group of young people in Gwanda who were grossly affected by the continued marginalization of young people in local and national discourse. These young men and women felt that young people are the custodians of good governance and democracy in any society hence the need

to claim their space so as to effectively engage. They also felt that their full participation can help transform their communities as far as sustainable development is concerned. It will also work towards promoting information dissemination on youth so as to increase awareness
