A study by the Queen Mary University of London found that goats will develop different accents as they age and become part of different herds. They found this to be true as goats in different herds will “talk” with sounds very similar to each other, which differs largely from herd to herd. The only other animals thought to do so are elephants and dolphins.

Tree planting day at Chidobe Primary School and prize giving, we have classes attending lessons at our dairy to learn about Goat production, animal welfare and trees. Our education officer Zulu does a great job.

It’s been a long time since we posted!
We chose not to breed this season due to the drought and also because we have too many goats.. from 17 in 2021 we now have 85 and that’s without breeding this year and a few losses along the way and moving some on.
We have 4 babies that popped out unplanned by a naughty boy who got into our girls whilst out been herded🙈school classes have been ongoing with 450 kids passing through CGD to learn what we do in Term 1 & 2
