The relentless heavy rainfall in Masvingo Rural District has resulted in numerous house collapses, affecting local communities who were already facing challenging harvest prospects. With desperation, these communities are selling off their limited produce to reconstruct their homes, thereby threatening their future food security. There is an urgent need for shelter and food assistance to prevent these families from trading off their future food security for immediate survival needs.
