"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." In many ways, the mere act of being charitable is its own reward. But as this verse notes, being compassionate to people who are less fortunate is also something that God will reward.

Facts about poverty: What are the big issues?

How does health impact poverty? Does a lack of education cause poverty, or does poverty create a lack of access to education? And can poor health impact education, too? It gets complicated. Cause and effect can be difficult to pin down. In reality, all of these challenges are intertwined.

SACSAN Initiative On Health
Poverty and health are strongly linked. Health problems can plunge people into poverty or keep them from escaping it, and those in poverty are more likely to suffer disease because they can't afford treatment. That's why we have to1 focus on improving health for kids.

SACSAN Initiative On Education
Education is really important, but its role in giving kids a ticket out of poverty is huge! Iatโ€™s one of the key areas of focus in our poverty-fighting approach.

SACSAN Initiative On Empowerment
Empowering kids is one of the biggest part of this Initiative. But what does it mean? Giving kids access to the basic tools they need to succeed. Instilling in them confidence that they can break free from poverty. Building them into engaged citizens of their communities. To name just a few, of course!

SACSAN Initiative On Employment
โ€œGet a job!โ€ If only it were that easy. Stable employment is key for escaping poverty, which is why we will work so hard to help our teens find it. But significant barriers to finding jobs obviously will stand in the way. When work is available, it is often no cakewalk. So the Foundation will aim to creating the employment.

SACSAN Initiative On Technology
We live in a technologically enabled world, and the use of mobile phones is more far-reaching than you might think. Still, some areas of the world are almost completely left out.

Global poverty and hunger
Not enough food. Not enough of the right vitamins and minerals to be healthy. Obesity from too much food with too little nutrition. The how, what, when and where of food disparity is a difficult nut to crack โ€“ and even more so when dealing with poverty.

The journey to end poverty for good begins with a child.

Growing up in poverty, children face tough challenges: hunger and malnutrition, limited access to education and medical services, social discrimination and isolation. But with support from people like you, we can help children get the health care, education, life skills, job-readiness training and confidence they need to create lasting change in their lives and communities. Together, we can end poverty for good....

Dear friend welcome to the new month, We want to give you an opportunity to be part of doing something good for someone else whilst having an epic time, I mean what would be a better way to start off the month of December than to do one random act of kindness , so before we let you in on our little adventure let me start of by telling you who we are and what we represent....In short we are just a bunch of adventurous, almost crazy and fun young adults who have a passion for helping others in any way we can. We all lead different lives and live in different cities with different perspective which makes it a whole lot of fun when we meet, but One thing we undoubtedly all have in common is the Joy, Love and Passion to transform and empower children by being a positive factor in the advancement and development of our communities, so once at the end of every year we do an epic road trip to a homeless shelter and give out clothes and groceries then get to spend time with the kids and play games with them and just get to know them, so this year we decided why dont we get people with the same passion to also contribute whatever they can to the cause, that is wy we have started the Save A Child Save A Nation (SACSAN) Challenge in the spirit of being thankful for having to have lived for another year and to top it of we have registered a non-profit organization called Gmakom Foundation which i will leave the details below if you are intrested in what we are about or you want to join us and donate.
So this year we are going to Babyol Children's home in Mutare on the 22nd of December, so If you have a passion for giving like us and want to make the day of an opharn join in on our challenge by giving whatever you can whether it be clothes old or new, grocery or cash or do something crazy and adventurous whilst you are at it by joining us on the road trip for only 20 dollars we promise to make it worth your while.
So, Dear friend are ready to indulge yourself in the spirit of giving, so If you feel like you want to donate and touch an opharns heart, please contact us on the details below and we can arrange how we can get whatever the gift you want to give or rather you want to join us, if you dont have anything to give please help us spread the word and be part of something good, we are going to document everything and put it on all our social media pages so that if you have given but was not able to come you will get to experience the journey with us, so thank u for reading this whole message and once again happy new month.... ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Our country's political unrest, food shortages, inflation, and HIV/AIDS are among the reasons for the flight of thousands of Zimbabweans looking for work and escape from political oppression. HIV/AIDS affects a large percentage our population. If a stable standard family is currently almost failing to meet the basic needs in the house, imagine an orphan and vulnerable child that couldn't afford it in the first place. It is the mission of Gmakom Foundation to help facilitate total transformation of these children's lives, we need to help them realize their full potential in life. We aim to help children's homes with providing good shelter, food, clothing, education, health care, and counseling to orphaned and vulnerable children, who would have nothing otherwise.

5 Prominent Issues, Some of these issues were identified by some children who have been in such circumstances or managed to escape them and some by the general public:

HIV/AIDS
There are approximately 1.2 million orphans in Zimbabwe and more than 890,000 were orphaned due to HIV/AIDS.

Abuse
If a parent doesn't physical discipline a child its apparently seen as a sign of weakness in a parent, and because of this and other factors our country has disturbingly high rates of child abuse, both physical and sexual.

Destitution
Statistically 68% of the population of Zimbabwe lives below the national poverty line and unemployment is outrageously high.

Abandonment
With the cruel economic conditions in Zimbabwe, abandoning children is quite common.

Child Labor
Statistically 13% of children in Zimbabwe are engage in child labor. Which is not only physically and emotionally harmful to the child, but it hinders the child's educational opportunity.

Education is the key to ending poverty. We want to give children the education they need and fight the inequalities that stand in their way.

Our aim is to partner with urban, remote and rural communities where children are leaving school without vital basic skills. Our approach will help parents/children's homes and teachers to create sustainable, effective schools and to nurture these children's learning.

We want to ensure that vulnerable children get the right infrastructure, teaching and family support so that they can get the most out of their time at school and go on to lead productive, healthy and happy lives.....

There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children. They will likely live up to what you believe of them. So we must teach our kids how to think, not what to think. The greatest legacy one can pass on to a child or grandchildren is not money or material things accumulated in life, but rather a legacy of character and faith. We focus more what a child will become tomorrow, to extent that we forget that he/she is someone today. Children are not things.... Help save a chlid today because they are our future.......
