Planning the inaugural Masvingo Business Showcase 2026 was both a challenge and a privilege.
What started as a vision to create a platform where government, investors, businesses, entrepreneurs and development partners could come together became a reality over three incredible days in Masvingo Province.
As organisers, our goal was never simply to host another conference. We wanted to create a platform that would spark conversations, build partnerships, showcase opportunities and most importantly, generate real economic activity.
One of the most rewarding moments came on the very first day when Byword Motors sold a vehicle directly through the Showcase, demonstrating that this was more than networking it was business being done.
We were also honoured to welcome Hon. Ezra Chadzamira, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Masvingo Province, who officially opened the Showcase. What stood out was not only his presence, but his commitment to engaging with exhibitors. He took time to visit every exhibition stand, listen to businesses, understand their challenges and opportunities, and encourage investment and enterprise growth across the province.
Another encouraging outcome was the level of interest shown by developers and investors. During exhibition tours and networking sessions, several developers expressed interest in investing in Masvingo through housing, property and infrastructure projects. These are exactly the types of conversations we hoped to facilitate when we first envisioned the Showcase.
We were equally humbled by the feedback from exhibitors, many of whom described the event as one of the most organised and engaging business showcases they had attended. A common theme in the feedback was appreciation for being given a voice—not just exhibition space. Exhibitors were able to present, network, engage directly with decision-makers and participate in meaningful discussions.

But beyond the numbers, the true success of the Showcase was seeing people leave with new relationships, new opportunities and renewed confidence in Masvingo’s future.
Masvingo is rich in opportunity. The Showcase simply provided a platform for those opportunities to be seen.
As we now look ahead to Masvingo Business Showcase 2027, we remain committed to creating a platform where investment meets opportunity and where meaningful partnerships are formed.
