We are happy to have attended the 2025 Zimbabwe Climate Change, Sustainability Week:Green Business Expo at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company ZITF on the 17th of September 2025. The key take away points were on reshaping business in Zimbabwe through innovation, resilience, and sustainability. The emphasis was also on collaboration and green investments which drive opportunities for a climate-smart economy.

We express our gratitude to the organisers The ClimatePreneur for inviting us as one of the Exhibitors. We had amazing interactions with the participants and our message was that, sustainability should include children also.

We are thrilled to have had our Co-Founder Bianca Moyo participate in the Climate Prenuer, a 26 weeks radio program hosted by Skyz Metro FM in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. We managed to discuss pressing issues on "Empowering Youth Climate Action in Africa", emphasising on giving youth the right tools to spearhead change. Let's Engage, Educate and Empower them on Climate Action.

Governments can enhance support for youth climate activism through several key strategies:- Incorporate Youth in Policymaking: Establish youth councils and advisory boards to actively involve young people in climate-related decision-making processes.- Financial Support: Create dedicated funds and grants for youth-led initiatives to help translate ideas into actionable projects.- Education and Training: Integrate climate education into school curricula and provide workshops to equip youth with necessary skills.- Protection Mechanisms: Implement safeguards to protect youth activists from repression and ensure their right to protest.- Collaborative Opportunities:Foster partnerships between youth movements and established organizations for mentorship and resource sharing.

"Together,we can".

One of the cool things about being an Environmental Lawyer is the opportunity to reach out and interact with some of the Vulnerable communities. The energy to learn new things from Rural School Children is so magnetic.
As schools closed this past week I was honored to share copies of some of the Children's Books my Wife Bianca Moyo and I have published. The Target for next year is to reach out to more Rural Schools empowering Children to asset their Environmental Rights.
So excited to be taking action on CHILDREN'S ENVIRONMENTAL RIGHTS at a time when the Panama Court has made a decision in which it cited the GC26 on Children's rights and Environment especially noting Children's voices on the impact of Environmental harms on their lives.

Thank you Center for Animal Law Studies for writing about the Incredible work our members are doing to Inspire Young Minds on Animals.
General Comment No 26 in Action.

"Teach a child in the way they should go and they will not depart from it!" says our CALS Ambassador and Animal Law LLM alumna, Nancy Makuvise ('22, Zimbabwe)! 🧡

Nancy was recently a consultant on a children's book about animal welfare working with Community Conservation and Climate Frontiers and co-authors, Innocent Ferris Rupapa and Bianca Moyo. Children join Rambo the donkey as he interacts with Mandla in learning and appreciating the importance of the Five Freedoms for donkeys. Donkeys are among the most neglected farmed animals in Zimbabwe. The authors sought to re-write the narrative and challenge general perceptions through education. Nancy says: "I am thrilled and honored to have been a part of this. Many thanks to all the collaborators on this book, Dr. Isaac Moyo, Claire Einhorn, and to Center for Animal Law Studies for without you, I would not be an animal lawyer! Here’s to many more children’s books!"

Please join us in congratulating Nancy and the team who are working to build compassion for animals in children.
