📢 OFFICIAL STATEMENT: AN APPEAL FOR YOUTH-LED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT 🇿🇼**
In the spirit of *Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo* (A nation is built by its own people), Youth Empowered Zimbabwe stands fully committed to supporting the Government’s vision for national development.

Today, we have issued an official Open Letter to His Excellency, The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa , and the Honourable Minister Machakaire Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training

Our national initiative represents a diverse network of highly patriotic, innovative young think-tanks—including both graduates and non-graduates. We are not asking for handouts; we are asking for a chance to prove our capabilities and transform from job seekers into job creators.

To unlock this potential, our letter details a respectful appeal for more flexible funding mechanisms through EmpowerBank, as the current requirement for strict collateral remains a major barrier for young entrepreneurs just starting out. As a youth leader, I stand fully ready to take responsibility, sacrifice my time, and ensure strict accountability and mentorship for our youth.

The executive leadership of Youth Empowered Zimbabwe (YEZ), led by Founder and President **Mr. Gilson Roki** and Vice President **Mr. Samson Chuma**, held a high-level strategic planning meeting with **Chief Seke**.
This collaborative session focused on establishing a robust framework for youth engagement, economic development, and sustainable empowerment initiatives across the Seke area. By combining the vision of YEZ with the guidance of traditional leadership, the meeting laid down a concrete roadmap to uplift local young people.
# # **Strategic Pillars & Action Plan**
* **1. Grassroots Skills Acquisition**
Deploying vocational and digital literacy programs directly into the Seke community to ensure youth are equipped for modern job markets and self-employment.
* **2. Youth-Led Agriculture & Enterprise**
Leveraging Seke’s strategic location to create sustainable agribusiness opportunities and entrepreneurial incubation hubs for young start-ups.
* **3. Mitigating Social Ills (Anti-Drug Campaigns)**
Formulating immediate, community-wide interventions and recreational initiatives to combat substance abuse and support youth mental health.
* **4. Inclusive Community Governance**
Bridging the gap between traditional structures and the younger generation, ensuring young women and men participate actively in local community development.

Following this successful engagement, the YEZ secretariat, under the direction of Mr. Roki and Mr. Chuma, will launch a **Community Youth Stakeholder Forum** in Seke. This forum will serve as the immediate next step to register local youths for upcoming training cohorts and map out specific project sites.

YOUTH EMPOWERED ZIMBABWE IN SUPPORT OF THE VISION 2030 BY OUR PRESIDENT Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa AND WE ENCOURAGE EVERY YOUTH TO BE POSITIVE AND PATRIOTIC. Our Visionary president has achieved alot of Development ever since he became our leader. Through NDS1 we witnessed the Improvement of Robert Mugabe International Airport , the building of New Parliament of Zimbabwe, Infrastructure Development, Trababalas interchange , Dam construction in many areas and also the introduction of Pfumvudza Scheme to mention but a few.

Now we are moving towards VISION 2030 guided by NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY 2(NDS2). As Youth Empowered Zimbabwe we are proud enough to announce that every youth it's your time to shine. Our President is a listening man. Let us unite and take the opportunities that are in our country.
