"See the person before the disability.” 📍

Such a simple statement… yet so powerful.

A reminder that before labels, assumptions, or limitations:
there is a human being. A story. A life full of potential.

This powerful message was shared during Day 3 of the Southern African Workcamps Technical Meeting by representatives from Women and Girls with Visual Impairment.

It taught us to lead with empathy, dignity, and respect,
and to build communities where inclusion is lived, not just spoken about

Let us see people for who they are, not what they lack.

Pure African pride, beautifully expressed.

Our hearts were full on the 3rd day of the Southern African Workcamps Cooperation Technical meeting, as young learners from Ruvheneko Primary School showcased the richness of our culture through traditional dance, rhythmic drums, and symbolic storytelling 💃🏽🥁

From the girls carrying baskets to the boys with arrows every movement told a story of identity, heritage, and belonging.

There is something truly powerful about preserving culture from such a tender age because these are not just performances, they are the roots of who we are

Moments like these remind us that culture is not lost ,it is lived, celebrated, and passed on

🚨 The countdown is over!

GEPI Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 proudly hosts the Southern African Workcamps (SAWC) Technical Meeting, starting tomorrow, 18–22 March 2026 in Harare. 21 March is going to be stakeholder presentation day with different organisations and Ministries on board.

This SADC regional gathering brings together workcamp organisations, youth leaders, and volunteers to expand horizons through regional integration and collaboration across Southern Africa.
