SAD 💔 | She has kidney failure. Rachael Musekiwa is 32 years old, a single mother of two beautiful girls, and she is currently receiving treatment. Her story is very sad.

Her health problems started in mid-2023 while she was living in China. At first, she thought she was just feeling unwell and tried using medication, hoping it would pass. Unfortunately, her condition became worse over time. She experienced extreme fatigue, vomiting, weight loss, skin and hair problems, and depression.

On May 1st, 2024, she was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure (Stage 5) and immediately started dialysis.

Since returning to Zimbabwe, she has been receiving treatment at Parirenyatwa Hospital from June 2024. Sadly, due to financial challenges, she can only afford dialysis twice a week, even though doctors recommend more sessions.

Help Save Simbarashe Dande.

Simbarashe Dande is still struggling with a tumour in Murehwa, Zimbabwe. The tumour continues to grow. A breathing tube was inserted in South Africa in 2019, and it needs regular cleaning and replacement. His mother currently uses ear buds to clean the tube.

Simba needs a second surgery and was quoted over US$200,000 at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. So far, only 18% of the required amount has been raised.

Sarah, a five-month-old baby born with a cleft lip, faced feeding challenges that left her underweight. Walking with confidence 👏

Meet Joseph. He’s 12 years old and was born with bowed legs, his knees curved outward, leaving a noticeable gap between them. At first, his father, Bhaudhi, believed Joseph would eventually outgrow the condition.

But he didn’t. The pain worsened, walking long distances became difficult, and his dream of playing soccer slowly faded as he watched his friends from the sidelines.

Then hope arrived. A co-worker told Bhaudhi about the free, life-changing surgeries offered at CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe. For a family living on a teacher’s salary, it felt like an answered prayer.

Today, Joseph is running on straight legs, pain-free, confident, and smiling.

I am reaching out with a heavy heart as a once vibrant beloved 13-year-old Shalom, has been diagnosed with bone cancer. One day, Shalom woke up with a painful knee and thought she had bumped onto something ad she is a very sporty young girl. Be known to her and the parents, it was something worse. The knee started swelling and upon consultation with doctors, she was diagnosed with a rare cancer of the bone.

Thankfully, there was hope! Doctors in India had confirm that informed us that she can avoid amputation through a vital procedure known as limb salvage surgery ,unfortunately they changed the bill quotations while we reached India

Now Doctors in SA are opting to do Above the knee AMPUTATION

Imagine the joy in her heart. Kudos CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe

Tanaka was born with a condition called clubfoot, which caused her feet to turn inward and downward, making her walk on the sides of her feet. Without corrective surgery, she would not have been able to wear shoes, and walking would have become even more difficult as she grew.

Thankfully, her mother, Grace, was referred to CURE Children’s Hospital of Zimbabwe for treatment.

After a series of casts and corrective surgeries, Tanaka’s feet were straightened.
During one of her follow-up visits, she came running joyfully down the hallway of the outpatient department, a sight that brought smiles to everyone around.

Thanks to the generosity of kind sponsors, healing is possible for children like Tanaka, giving them the chance to walk, run, and live full lives!
