We hope that no matter where this post finds you in your scrolling - that you are reminded that mama, you and your body did not fail.

We know how quickly we can blame ourselves for what we could or couldn’t do in birth, and how easy it is to pick apart our birth stories. We also know the deep belly ache of longing that can be present when our birth plans didn’t go as we had always planned or dreamed.

So tonight we share these simple truths in hopes that they offer hope to your heart today, and remind you once again of your strength and your worth.

You and your body did the absolute best it could. You are worthy of love and compassion. You are still a GOOD mother, and you are a survivor. 💕

✨ To every mother who wakes up feeling heavy, yet still reaches for her baby with tired, trembling hands—thank you. The love you give, even in the hardest moments, shines brighter than you know.
You might feel invisible, but your courage speaks louder than words. Every tear you quietly wipe away, every night you push through without rest, every choice to hold on when it feels impossible—these are powerful acts of love that deserve to be seen and honored.
Postpartum depression does not take away your worth. If anything, it shows the strength of your spirit. You are so much more than the darkness that whispers against you. You are a mother who keeps giving, nurturing, and fighting—sometimes silently—for both yourself and your child.
We see you. We thank you. And we honor the strength it takes to carry such a weight while still choosing love. 🌸
You are not alone. You are valued. You are deeply loved. 💜

About 1 in 8 women experience postpartum depression after giving birth. Many cases go undiagnosed because mothers fear stigma or being seen as “bad mothers.” often labeled as being lazy.

Some women experience what is called the “baby blues” (mood swings, sadness, anxiety)which are very common in the first 2 weeks after delivery, but they usually go away on their own. Postpartum depression is longer-lasting and more severe, often interfering with daily life.

Postpartum depression doesn’t only happen to first-time mothers—it can affect women after any birth. Risk factors include a history of depression, lack of support, traumatic birth, or major life stress.

Untreated Postpartum depression can last months or even years, affecting the mother’s mental and physical health, bonding with the baby, and the overall family well-being.

With support, therapy, and sometimes medication, most mothers fully recover from postpartum depression. Early help makes a big difference.
