We just ended the day on a beautiful note🥑

We received pictures from one of our own, sharing a wonderful success story of family responsibility and environmental stewardship. Their family planted about 9 avocado and mango seedlings and these fruit trees are already growing beautifully at their homestead.

Small actions, nurtured with care, can grow into lasting food, environmental and livelihood benefits.
This is what we are doing Youth Initiatives for Community Transformation through our biodiversity, climate and land pillar.

Trees are amazing🤗

Please, meet the magnificent Musasa (Brachystegia spiciformis) and Munondo (Julbernardia globiflora) trees, iconic species of the Miombo woodlands along Nyamuzuwe road, in Mutoko Rural District Council.

What caught our attention most were their enormous roots, spreading widely across the ground like a natural web. These roots help bind and protect the soil from erosion while creating cool, shaded spaces where pedestrians can rest during hot days. Their value goes even further; branches provide shelter and habitat for birds, while their seeds contribute to the diets of wildlife such as baboons.

Protecting indigenous trees means protecting entire ecosystems.

This morning, another small but meaningful milestone towards , and ;

50 avocado seeds collected from residential waste dumpsites, giving what could have been discarded a new purpose. We just planted all the 50 seeds, following a successful trail done in 2025, expanding our in .

Every seed represents more than a future tree, it carries the potential for , , , and for young people.

Today, we were on site observing the survival and growth of trees planted as part of our project, which began in September 2025 at a faith institution.

We were particularly amazed by the remarkable growth of the bamboo trees and several other species. What started as small seedlings is gradually becoming a , a powerful reminder that restoration takes , and .

Every surviving tree represents , and an in the future of both people and nature.

We may not see overnight, but when we the land, responds. Let’s keep , and for our common home.
